Then created a demigod and pretended his kid would die knowing full well it was just a trick and would live... but that was a sacrifice.

I mean, I can see how they got there. God creates man and tells them not to eat the fruit from that tree. The serpent convinces Eve to eat, and she convinces Adam, and they disobey God. They are kicked out of Eden and man is stained with sin. But also God is omniscient and omnipotent. He not only knew that would happen, but intended it. The explanation I’ve heard basically states that yeah, God knew you were going to sin, and in fact planned for it, but it’s still all your fault and you totally have free will, because God is perfect and didn’t make you do wrong. Even if His grand plan for humanity counted on you doing wrong. I’m not equipped to make theological arguments, but from a purely logical standpoint this seems like a difficult circle to square. 🤷‍♂️

@monsterhunter45 When I went into bootcamp they had us fire the weapons.... would he be insulted if he found out that I almost qualified for that medal? (missed by one round. in my defense it was the first time I fired a gun... and wasn't ready for the .45 recoil. put 4 more rounds center.)
