Complete breakdown of society. I get into a NYC cab. Newly arrived gentleman with no cabbie license in the license slot asks me if I want to pay ‘the flat rate’ or ‘the hourly rate’. Neither of these of course exist in NYC, it is a metered rate. I express firmly that I am a New Yorker and know about metered rates and to please turn on the meter. But I have no reason to believe this is a licensed driver in his actual own cab. Scary feeling. @nyctaxi

Helping Israel stop terrorists from killing civilians isn’t a free ride. It’s in America’s interests to stop missile attacks. This is why President Obama signed the 10-year MOU, including Iron Dome. Breaking that commitment would a failure of American leadership and credibility.

@lawyer4SMBs My father mowed his own lawn until he was too weak to start the mower. He is in a wheelchair now, and I know he would prefer to be out mowing the lawn.

I remember a while back I said that if you make over $200k a a year and still mow your own lawn, you're doing it wrong.
Now that the average quote I'm getting for my lawn is $400 a month, I think I'm changing my mind on that statement.
What are folks running for lawnmowing equipment on a 1 acre mow these days?

They paid $100,000 for a home 25+ years ago, owe $0 & have $500k+ of equity.
"Downsizing" means they'd need to buy something for $450k + take on a 6.5% loan.
Many won't move & this will keep inventory low.
