@VictoriaTheTech I’m confused about these pictures, actually. I’ve never heard a public school use the term PTO, to be honest. And “owner”? Is this a private school or childcare? Regardless, all of the pictures are alarming.

Friday thread: My wife’s name is Kourtney. A school not in this state (?) has confused her with *another* Kourtney who is interviewing for a position there. There was an email mixup (by one number) and they sent Kourt the school policies for preview. And they’re BANANAS.

It takes a village to promote reading. The rewards are tremendous. A student who can read gains access to doors that lead to adventures, vistas, & new horizons that are otherwise inaccessible to the non-reader. Give your readers the gifts of curiosity, exploration, and discovery.

You can use surveys, quick writes & sharing, what ifs?, trivia, read alouds, & many other activities. The key is to be playful in the virtual classroom. The need to play does not disappear when the venue changes. The tone of the classroom reflects the attitude & outlook of all.
