Doctors going on strike doesn't really sit well with me; Even if their reasons are justifiable, what happens to patients or incoming victims? Especially in a country where we are so short-staffed and with so many quacks all over the place. Where do patients go while the strike in ongoing? It's also more upsetting knowing full well that many doctors have their own private hospitals, clinics, and establishment that keeps running while the strike is ongoing. The govt is without a doubt an epic failure on all counts, but medical practitioners need to find a better solution than going on strikes. People's survival depend on their services, and private is unaffordable at this point.

“Positions do not Expand the mind.. They rather Amolify it” Power does not change a leader… It reveals who he is A question I ask myself with all the positions I have held is… “Is Power leaving you, Or are you handing over Power?” I learnt my most valuable lessons from those positions where Power left me.. In all, Power is transient and ephemeral 🙏🏽 After a much needed break, back to working for NARDites for the much desired results. Dear NARDites, ask your questions and get instant information. Even In The Country Where Starlink Originated, They Don't Have Real-Time Transmission of Election Results To those saying Nigeria should use Starlink for real-time election results transmission, are you aware that even the country of origin of Starlink does not have real-time election results transmission? Then you want Starlink to give you what it hasn't given America or South Africa? Please fact-check me. Do these people even reason? Peter Obi and his horde just emote and come up with unrealistic postulations. First of all, if you use Starlink, you are surrendering vital and personal data about your citizens and your electoral system to a foreign power. No government on Earth does that! Secondly, even information passed through Starlink can be hacked. Elon Musk, the founder and owner of Starlink, has repeatedly said he does not trust electronic voting or the real-time transmission of results because the system can be hacked by a foreign power or anyone with almost rudimentary skills. Consider not thinking through the narrow lens of your ethnic group and your political party, and put Nigeria first. Electronic transmission of election results is desirable. But real-time transmission of election results is a disaster! Reno Omokri Gospeller. Deep Thinker. #TableShaker. #1 Bestselling author of Facts Versus Fiction: The True Story of the Jonathan Years. If you think this is a victory, you are wrong! They have just stylishly left a lacuna Who determines if there’s is poor network this is still a way of leaving it to the discretion of electoral officers Would the evidence from IRev be accepted in court? The senate has approved the electronic transmission of election results to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s result viewing portal (IReV), while allowing manual collation to serve as a fallback where technology fails. The decision followed a reconsideration of a controversial provision in the Electoral Act Amendment Bill during Tuesday’s plenary.

CONDEMNATION OF THE BRUTAL KILLING OF NURSE CHINEMEREM PASCALINA CHUWUMEZIEM OF FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE, ABUJA I write on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), FCT Council, to express our deep sorrow, outrage, and total condemnation of the unjust and brutal killing of our innocent young colleague, Nurse Chinemerem Pascalina Chuwumeziem, who was in active service with the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja. The deceased nurse, having spent her day rendering selfless service to humanity and saving lives, closed from afternoon duty on 3rd January 2026 and boarded a vehicle on her way home. Tragically, she never made it home alive. Her lifeless body was later discovered, dumped in a most inhumane and heartbreaking manner. This wicked and senseless act is not only an attack on the nursing profession but also an assault on healthcare workers and humanity at large. We hereby call on the entire security architecture in the Federal Capital Territory—including the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)—to immediately conduct a thorough, transparent, and professional investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death and ensure that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice without delay. The continuous harassment and attacks on nurses have further exposed the alarming level of insecurity faced daily by healthcare workers, particularly while commuting to and from duty. Our lives are no longer safe. Nurses leave their homes daily to save lives, yet many are uncertain of returning alive to their families. We strongly call on the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory to urgently strengthen security around all hospitals in the FCT and at major junctions where nurses and other healthcare workers board vehicles, especially during early morning and late-night shifts. Where feasible, government should also provide safe and organised transportation for nurses to and from their places of work in order to prevent further loss of innocent lives. Furthermore, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Management of the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja, as well as nurses in the FCT and across Nigeria, over this painful and irreparable loss of our beloved daughter and dear colleague. We share in your grief and pray that God grants you the strength and fortitude to bear this devastating loss. We demand justice for our fallen colleague and urgent government intervention to guarantee the safety and security of all nurses and healthcare workers in the Federal Capital Territory. Anything short of decisive action will further expose nurses to danger and erode public confidence in the nation’s security system. Comr. Jama D.
