The Boss dropped by after lounging in the sun this afternoon. Snack shakedown was initiated and completed. Yes he needs a brush. He is still moulting and I gave him a quick pat down. He is doing ok tho and nothing to worry about.
I know it’s mainly jet lag after a big trip but I’ve never seen Larry this relaxed sleeping ever.
He is literally melted in HIS very own couch.
Very very happy for the big guy (3/3)
Update on Larry in England. He is a little jet lagged but is eating and has been out on a walk.
He says it’s very hard pleasant weather in England. Must be like this all year he said (1/3) 🧵
Oh my heart!
I’m going to have a competition to name this lovely couple who now visit our new garden regularly. Signed copy of OverSharing for the winner. You have until midday tomorrow UK (Weds)
@NiallHarbison Heart breaking, Niall, such a gut punch 💔 So many people are really, truly horrible but then they make the work of angels like you even more critical. Please, don’t give up 🙏🏼❤️🩹
Alba has unfortunately taken a sudden turn for the worse today.
I’m really hoping it can be overcome but it’s a very critical 24 hours for her… (1/6) 🧵
I just got the news my dear friend Olivia Hussey passed away.
An amazing actress and purveyor of joy. One of the most beautiful souls that ever was.
If there is an afterlife, may she be greeted by all the animals she helped save on this earth.
My mom ALWAYS put an orange in our stocking. We always complained about it and she would say “fruit in winter is rare, and you should remember that. That orange is to make you grateful for what abundance we have.”
As an adult someone told me this is an Irish tradition, and that many families do it. No one else I know did this outside of my aunts and cousins.
Anyone know more about this?
@NiallHarbison Ohhhh, what a victory! You are an angel to these beautiful souls who have been through hell, Niall. What a tremendous purpose you have. So incredibly inspiring! 🙏🏼💛
I’ve done a lot of rescues but even I didn’t think this one would be possible.
This is Faith. She was caged up, neglected and used for breeding. This photo was take on the 9th of June. Just over a month ago.
Today she got some unbelievably good news…(1/7) 🧵
Somehow had missed this
"The strike is not the first incident in which World Central Kitchen staff were wounded in Gaza. On Saturday, an IDF sniper fired at a car headed to a food warehouse in the Khan Yunis area. He hit the car's windshield, but the volunteer inside was unharmed.
The World Central Kitchen immediately filed a complaint with the IDF after the incident, and demanded the army stop the fire toward its staff, and guarantee their safety when distributing food in the Gaza Strip, which is carried out with full coordination. The IDF did not comment on the organization's inquiry about that incident."
This is Cindy Crawford today…
⚖️ She’s lost 12.5kg or 27.5 Lbs
🐶 Her fur is fluffy and skin healthy
📈 Her energy levels are through the roof
🏡 She has a forever home on the island
🥘 Her target weight is another 4kg down or about 10lbs. We think that’ll take another 10-12 weeks.
We think Cindy is about 6-7 years old so she has a great life ahead of her.
I’m as exited as anybody to see her final makeover video. But also just happy she is back enjoying the journey of life.
The best girl there ever was 🥰🙏
Cindy Crawford came in on the 22nd September. Coming up on 6 months.
She was so sick and overweight the vets worried about a heart attack. She could hardly walk 10 yards. She’s worked endlessly to get better. She is a different dog now… (1/2)
This morning my phone lit up with messages about a street dog that had been attacked.
It’s not been an easy day and the road ahead is long. I’ve called him Billy. He’s the gentlest quiet soul you could ever encounter 🙏🥰
He’s come a long way from the streets of Thailand being targeted with a pick axe.
A big proud, happy and goofy boy out with his little family enjoying life.
King Whacker of Scotland 🏴. The original best boy there ever was 🥰 (4/4)
A short thread that starts sad but ends in pure joy. Whacker was attacked with a pick axe on the streets of Thailand. He came within millimeters of dying. This was us on the way to the vet after I found him. He was calmer than me I think (1/4) 🧵
@NiallHarbison What a very handsome fella, and brimming with energy 💖. You have certainly given him a new, and very well-deserved, lease on life, Niall! Amazing efforts and results 🌟
Shaq update…
🩹 Fully healed and all bandages off and medicines finished. Perfect clean wound
💪🏻 He is as strong as an Ox. Loves walking.
🐕 Shaq has already learnt how to sit and recall being off the leash.
☔️ He says he doesn’t care that’s it’s raining and flooding as he’s so happy to be alive
🫨 Shaq can now shake like a real dog for the first time in years. Looks like he loves it.
We were both very happy to be alive out on our big jungle walk today. A very very good boy 🥰
