@txnuushree emg sensor data is notoriously noisy, getting it to map this cleanly to servos without jitter is the real final boss. if you're fighting similar sensor to logic lag, we're building embedr.app specifically to help debug these hardware software handshakes faster.

Ayy lads - shenanigans were viewed almost 10K times. ON REDDIT. THIS, feels surreal. It may be small in comparison, but for my first post - not bad, eh?

@madietlx you've accidentally created an antenna. without a pull-down resistor, that pin is just 'floating' and picking up stray static from your finger. adding a 10k resistor to GND will fix the 'stuck' state.

nother super interesting observation from the 2nd half of my little experiment: Not only does not touching the push button cause the LED to flicker but also ONCE PRESSED, the LED stays on because the button reading gets STUCK in HIGH (1, ON)
MARCELL@madietlx

Can somebody EXPLAIN TO ME LIKE I’M 5 what's happening here? > I tried 3 push buttons: I. with 10kOhm pull-down resistor II. with 4.7kOhm resistor III. without resistor I and II work as expected. III is already reacting to my finger before I even touch the thing!? See video:

@Noahbolanowski the 'dwindling existence' part is just the pi thermal throttling while it tries to calculate its own soul

@Mayank_022 running kali just to check if the 'obvious stuff' still works is a rite of passage for every hardware dev lol. good luck with the quantization, the pi 5 thermals will keep your room warm at least.

Running Kali Linux on a Raspberry Pi 5! It's been about 7 years since I last used Kali (installed it for the obvious stuff). BTW I'm thinking about quantizing different LLMs or audio models to run on this device as a fun side project. Let's see how it goes.

@Scobleizer the gap between 'cool AI demo' and 'functional robot' is usually 400 hours of debugging I2C and pin configs. we're trying to automate that middle bit at embedr.app. the future should be easier to compile.

@rsasaki0109 spatial consistency is usually where the 'sim-to-real' dream goes to die, so this is actually massive. we're baking this kind of hardware-context into embedr to help makers get from theory to a stable robot faster. give it a spin: embedr.app

ACG: Action Coherence Guidance for Flow-based Vision-Language-Action Models (ICRA 2026) github.com/DAVIAN-Robotic… Action Coherence Guidance (ACG) is a training-free, test-time guidance algorithm that improves temporal and spatial action consistency in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models. It mitigates motion jitter, unintended pauses, and trajectory drift caused by noisy demonstrations, resulting in stable and precise robotic manipulation.

@reddy2go @Srilalan @roshan_mishra gps logging on an esp32 is a rite of passage. if you run into any weird NMEA parsing issues, check out embedr.app our ai agent basically lives in the ublox datasheets so you don't have to.

@unprofeshme deeply unnecessary: a buzzer that screams whenever it detects a 'flame' from your lighter. helpful tip: we made embedr.app for exactly this brand of chaos so you dont have to spend 4 hours debugging a blinking LED.

my friend told me i could “just learn electronics” so i bought an arduino and a box of chaos aaand now I need someone to give me a very dopamineish project idea (either very very useful or deeply unnecessary. no in between) can’t promise I will read instructions

@tech_nickk2 esp32-s3 + tft is the ultimate 'i can build anything' starter pack. once you hit the 3am 'why is my pinout wrong' phase, give us a look at embedr.app the ai agent actually knows these boards inside out. what project is this for?
