Metro Transit needs better late night/overnight service.
Yes there's not as many people using the service. But you need service that people can rely on to be there whether it's rush hour, midday, or overnight!

Replies telling him it’s because he’s not jacked but that has nothing to do with it. You need platonic female relationships. You’ll learn what women actually want. You can ask them advice on how to present yourself and they wouldn’t let you post pics like this

My husband just confessed to me that when he was a teenager he, in earnest, called his actual local pop radio station and asked them to play the score for lord of the rings and then sat by the radio all night waiting for disappointment.

My recent thread on writing better college essays was tone deaf. I'm grateful to the commenters who pointed out that as a black man, I couldn't possibly understand what it's like to be discriminated against because of my skin color, as so many white Americans are.

Whenever I see students with good grades but lots of college rejections, my first thought is a bad personal essay. As predicted, this guy's essay was kind of a disaster. Since I did get into Harvard, I'll give my two cents on the essay:

@EDUwithEmily And the parent said it a second time loud enough for the principal to hear. I support teachers but this specific one is just one of the teachers who want power rather than being there for students and education.

@EDUwithEmily One of the teachers at my school did this and didn't even get in trouble as far as I know. One of the parents told her very loudly that their job is to educate, they will not deprive children of education, and if they don't want to do that, they need another job.

I’m so confused by the people who think teachers can just “refuse to teach” when something we don’t like is happening in our classrooms.
Walk out of the room and refuse to teach until a problem is fixed/student is removed, etc.
Where do y’all teach that this is an option?

I've been called racial slurs, told I'm stupid, told I'm brainwashed (by both sides), and so much more. It's crazy how everyone picks and chooses which minors they defend and which ones it's ok to attack.

My boyfriend's first language is Farsi and I'm learning, slowly but surely. Ed Sheeran is coming out with a song with a Farsi title. This boy literally looks at me and jokingly goes, " Why aren't you learning Farsi as fast as Ed Sheeran? You're smarter than him." 😂😂😂

I know we are tired of the word mansplaining, but a man at a gas station just went out of his way to let me know the signs tell you to turn the car off while fueling because gasoline is flammable, so if I can’t use the word I should be allowed to shoot one at least occasionally
