@CoreyWriting Counterpoint, do you honestly think in the heyday of AIPAC, say 1990s, do you really think the average senator truly cared about the conflict?

@AdamMossoff Honestly it’s 100% on AIPAC. They tried to unseat a moderate who wanted some conditional aid. This backfired heavily and now they got a leftist. Jokes on them. Doesn’t matter anyway they’ll unseat her in 28.

The political realignment of American Jews given the open embrace of antisemitism by the Democrats (masquerading as "antizionism") appears to continue in 2026. A 70% shift in votes in traditionally ironclad Democratic city of Livingston, New Jersey from D to R is beyond huge. The city has only about 17% registered Republican voters, as of 2022. Now is the time for the Republican Party to continue to distinguish itself from the Democrats, the party of modern woke Brownshirts since October 8, 2023. But this requires the Republican Party to continue its mostly successful efforts thus far in resisting the influence of the woke right antisemites like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, MTG, and others in its actual policy positions. The Democrats not only failed to resist the antisemitism of the woke left, they embraced it with only a few standout exceptions, such as Senator Fetterman and Rep. Torres. The most recent example: almost the entire Democratic caucus in the Senate voted this week (many of whom voted a third time in the past two years) to impose an arms embargo on Israel. 40 Democratic Senators voted to deny arms and equipment that U.S. ally Israel purchases solely on the basis of pro-Hamas or pro-Hezbollah propaganda, such as a "genocide" in Gaza. This is only the most recent example of too many to count in past 2 years of how Democrats have embraced the woke left and its virulent antisemitism. Notably, not a single Republican Senator joined the Israel embargo resolution voted for by 40 Democratic Senators. Hopefully, the Republicans will continue to demonstrate their moral compass and integrity on this key issue, in contrast to the Democrats who have tolerated or openly embraced the antisemitism and nihilism of Hasan Piker and so many others in its base.

Livingston New Jersey, one of the most Jewish districts in NJ, just swung a whole 70%(!!!!) Regardless of your politics, If you don't understand the extent to which Jewish life in America feels under threat, you have no idea what Jews are in the world have been going through.

@MalloryMcMorrow Hi! I’m a normal American - wife, mother, and - I am Jewish. I give $180 a year to AIPAC. I do this because I value the US - Israel relationship. That’s my right as an American citizen (4th generation). When you demonize AIPAC, I am who you are demonizing

@admcrlsn Amen. They do the heavy lifting on the antisemitism for antisemites by conflating the two. Its meant to shut down discussions and silence dissent. It is also a stupid strategy that makes every Jew less safe because it further muddies the water when clarity is needed.

AIPAC donors ≠ Jewish donors And saying that just furthers negative perceptions of Jews, and perhaps furthers antisemitism as well. I’m an American Jewish donor and I would rather eat an entire hammer than donate a cent to AIPAC.
Trinity Votes 🇮🇱🇺🇦@TrinityMustache

It is sick and repulsive to me as a lifelong Democrat that democrats are now expected to denounce taking money from American Jewish donors in order to win a democratic primary. Such is the growing cancer of antisemitism in the party.

@katystoll @jonathanchait He says "I Meant It When I Said Hamas Is A Thousand Times Better Than Israel" that is support Hamas and Hamas openly calls for the destruction of Israel and "Globalize the Intifada." @Groyper467388 @hasanthehun @jonathanchait No the leftist party is genuinely a partner for peace but they have about as much sway in Israel as Jill stein does in the USA. If Netanyahu fell it would probably be Bennett who is pretty much a clone of Netanyahu without racist statements.

@hasanthehun @jonathanchait what Jonathan failed to address is that Israel isnt Netanyahu. If Netanyahu died or resigned today, he would be replaced with someone who has the same ideology. The "leftist" party in Israel isn't much different than Likud. You can compare the hardliners in Iran to the Iranians

75% of Democrat voters apparently believe that there was a genocide in Gaza. But there wasn’t a genocide in Gaza. So you have a large segment of the population believing an insane conspiracy theory. What happens when a society completely disconnects itself from reality?

Today, I voted to block the provision of U.S. military assistance to Israel: 1,000-pound so-called ‘dumb’ bombs and military bulldozers. In the future, I will continue to assess U.S.-funded offensive weapons to Israel on a case-by-case basis, and I will continue to support sending Israel much-needed defensive weapons, like Iron Dome. I have struggled with these Joint Resolutions of Disapproval as much as any vote since I joined Congress. I represent a state with a large Arab and Muslim population and a large Jewish population. And over these last two-plus years, few issues have been as raw, painful, and personal as this one. Throughout that time, I have worked hard to call balls and strikes based on my experience and the facts on the ground, even when some are reluctant to consider new information. My entire life, I have been -- and continue to be -- a strong supporter of a Jewish and democratic State of Israel. The people of Israel, like all people throughout the region, deserve long-term security and peace. But being pro-Israel today is not about simply supporting the political or military agenda of Prime Minister Netanyahu, just like being pro-American should not be equated with loyalty to President Trump. This is a complex truth that many of us who support Israel hold, and it applies to my own patriotism and government as well. I can support the security of a country without supporting the specific policies of any one political party or leader. And if Israelis can take part in rigorous debate and protests of their own government’s policies, Americans supportive of Israel can do the same thing. I have no love lost for the Iranian regime or their proxy groups like Hezbollah. I know firsthand from three tours in Iraq alongside our military how Iran is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans and thousands more civilians in the Middle East. But President Trump committed the U.S. to a war of choice against Iran, alongside Israel, with no evidence of an imminent threat, no clear objectives, and without Congressional approval. Seven weeks in, he has yet to provide a strategy for this war or a clear path to get out of it. So just as I am against more U.S.-funded weapons to Israel today, I am also deeply skeptical of more U.S. funding for the Iran war, which reportedly could be anywhere between $50 to $200 billion, on top of $1 trillion provided to the Pentagon last year. Every American should be invested in the U.S. ending this war with the least possible loss of blood and treasure. It is my hope that we can get a comprehensive and durable ceasefire as soon as possible.

Jews most likely won't be for one party or the other, and who they vote for will be dependent on who is running. For example, if JD Vance is the nominee and a normal Democrat is the nominee, then Jews will likely vote Democrat. If it's Rubio vs say AOC, then jews will probably break heavily for Rubio. If it’s something like Vance Vs AOC, then I would predict a historic low turnout for American Jews.
Jordan Klein@dodgersjordan

I’m going to remain a Democrat but I can’t fault Jews who start to jump ship. Whatever side of the aisle Jews end up on, we are going to be confronted with a lot of headwinds. It will be a challenge in both parties to continue to combat antisemitism

@Evan_Rosenfeld The fact she won means largely it’s negligible. Even if the Jewish vote was split(which it is according to polling) it hardly makes up enough to be a unified block. And the truth is that you can’t ignore what 85-90% of your base thinks to appease 1% that’s just not how it works

Livingston is one of the most Jewish towns in New Jersey. It just swung 70+ points toward Republicans compared to 2024 and last year’s gubernatorial race. Democrats should pay attention to this or it may very well come back to bite them in ‘26 and ‘28

The United States versus Elon R. Musk
@gsgd02996576 @umichvoter This is why no one should listen to DSAs; they not only suck at coalition-building, but rather even actively argue against it. Pushing out part of the base, the 75% of Jews who vote Democrat, in favor of anti-Semites whose allegiance would be tenuous at best, is madness.

Funny how it works : When American citizens- born in the U.S., who happen to be Jewish - donate, suddenly they’re treated as Israelis, or accused of being foreigners or having dual loyalty. But when Islamists fund things, all of a sudden they’re seen as just innocent American citizens.

Israel has until January 20, 2029 to deepen damage to its enemies and convert its remarkable battlefield gains, with US backing, into lasting political advantage. With few exceptions, the next president is likely to threaten Israel — even if that weakens American security.

@JamesDeppeler1 @tedcruz I mean no it’s not mandatory, But honestly, knowing him, and full disclosure, I’m not remotely pro-Israeli but knowing Tucker, he’s likely not saying a number cause he’s angling for the Nick Fuentes crowd in a more dog whistle but without losing the monetization.

@endndbdbbebddb @tedcruz So if it's an estimate, why is it mandatory that Tucker say it? He's still condemning it, saying a lot of people were killed, but he failed to repeat the words "six million" and now is to be treated as though he was a guard outside a gas chamber for it?

A damning indictment.
Joel Mowbray@joelmowbray

🚨 EXCLUSIVE — Tucker Carlson won't say that Hitler murdered 6 million Jews. Based on my own long ago conversation with him, this isn't some weird fluke. Tucker simply doesn't believe the Nazis slaughtered six million Jews. So, is Tucker a Holocaust denier? Yesterday, Tucker said that "the Nazi government murdered... a whole bunch of Jews," but stressed that this was "in addition to a whole bunch of other people." He expressed outrage that Jewish victims of Hitler receive so much attention because they were "only... one specific ethnicity" murdered by the Nazis. Last month, Tucker told Clayton Morris, "Hitler killed a ton of people, including a ton of Jews." Despite extensive research, I could not find a single example of Tucker acknowledging the extraordinarily well-documented fact that six million Jews were exterminated in the Holocaust. Which brings me to a private conversation Tucker and I had maybe 15 years ago, one which I had written off at the time — but in hindsight, probably shouldn't have. (We've never been close, but would chat if we ran into each other.) For some reason, I think because I had just toured Yad Vashem, I mentioned to him how mind-boggling it is that the Nazis murdered six million Jews. Tucker shot me a strange look, almost incredulous. Sarcastically, I quipped, "You’re not one of those nutjobs who don't believe that six million Jews died, are you?" Instead of a jabbing back or acting indignant, Tucker responded, "I mean, whatever, Hitler killed a bunch of different people." It was awkward, enough so that I dropped it and quickly exited the conversation. I've thought about that a few times over the years, but couldn't bring myself to the idea that Tucker was any sort of a Holocaust denier. Now, though? The most charitable interpretation is that he's not bothered by people who downplay or minimize what the Nazis did specifically to the Jews. But by continually refusing to acknowledge that Hitler killed six million Jews, that at least borders on Holocaust denial. Even Megyn Kelly recognized that denying the full scope of what Hitler did to the Jews IS a form of Holocaust denial, at least before she became Tucker's self-appointed guardian. In her now-infamous show in front of a live audience last November, Megyn pressed him about why he "didn't raise" with Nick Fuentes his ongoing contention "that we’ve way overstated the number of Jews killed in the Holocaust." Tucker responded, "Buzz off!" The likelihood that Tucker, at least to some significant degree, is a Holocaust denier is reinforced by something else he said last month to Clayton Morris. He bizarrely claimed that Hitler hadn't "ever" called to "exterminate" the Jews, despite ample historical evidence that he (and Nazi leadership) had done exactly that. Even more shocking is that he said this as part of his argument that Hitler's rhetoric wasn't as extreme as — wait for it — Bibi Netanyahu's. Then, of course, there's the viral story that I broke last November regarding Tucker's warning that "calling people Nazis" could make people become like Dietrich Bonhoeffer — specifically that it was tragic that the Lutheran pastor had been involved in plotting to assassinate Hitler. During the middle of World War II and the Holocaust, to be clear. Like most people who have known Tucker — who is incredibly charming and often warm in person — it took me a very long time to realize that how dark some of his views truly are. But look again at just this partial track record: (1) refusing to state that Hitler murdered six million Jews, (2) denying that Hitler had ever called to exterminate the Jews, (3) insisting that Bibi's rhetoric is worse than Hitler’s, and (4) that attempting to assassinate Hitler during WWII was un-Christian and just wrong. Maybe any one of those could be explained away. But all of them together? Because, make no mistake, Tucker knows exactly what he's doing. That is probably what's scariest of all.
