Some New Yorkers need or choose to drive cars, and that's fine. But, with limited space in a dense city, you have to make room for all modes and provide people with safe, affordable, and efficient options. We need infrastructure for pedestrians, buses, and bikes alike. Making it cheaper and easier for New Yorkers to get around without a car is important because car ownership is extraordinarily expensive and those who own them are disproportionately affluent.
