According to Reuters, Coinbase has announced a partnership with mortgage lender Better Home & Finance to allow homebuyers to pledge Bitcoin or USDC in their accounts as collateral for down payment loans. This loan will be separate from the Fannie Mae-backed primary home mortgage. Homebuyers can thereby avoid selling their crypto assets directly, preserving potential appreciation and deferring tax liabilities. Furthermore, as long as on-time payments are maintained, a drop in the collateral's value will not trigger margin calls.

fwiw: 1. the levered position nets ~30% APY 2. That's a quote for instant settlement. ACRED redemptions are typically quarterly and have no fee if you redeem at end of quarter. This is an option users have to exit instantly - which was previously not possible. 3. The quote is based on time to redemption, fee goes down to 0.4% towards end of quarter. 4. The spread will come down over time - the exciting part is being able to facilitate intra-quarter pricing for these assets and improve price discovery over time

.@etherfuse CEO @EtherfuseDave on non-USD stablecoins and why the current infrastructure leaves most of the world paying an FX premium: "Most people are betting that stablecoins operate like the West does SWIFT. The rails of money movement are going to be denominated and regulated by the US." "If I'm a Mexican and I want to buy a soda in the future of finance in USDC or USDT, I need to settle in my currency. That's an FX fee." "We create an asset denominated in that currency, the safest asset in the world, and we bridge it to traditional finance, free. No one does this. We are the only ones who have actually solved that problem."

Código Alebrije by @StellarOrg and @TheBAFNetwork was an incredibly enriching experience for our team. 🇲🇽 Over the past days, we validated our core idea, refined our product direction, and received valuable feedback from SDF mentors and key members of the Stellar ecosystem. We also had the opportunity to connect with an amazing community of builders across LATAM, exchange ideas, and learn from other teams pushing the space forward. We are, grateful for the conversations, insights, and momentum we gained during the program. Now back to building!

Would it be interesting to add other tokenized treasuries to our offerings? USD, EU, UK, KOR? It’s not a hard lift for us at this point, but the APYs are pretty low, 2-5% region. Is this something you personally would invest in? Or is the yield not worth it?

How @Etherfuse actually works. 🏛️ Etherfuse purchases real sovereign debt instruments through regulated channels: CETES in Mexico, Tesouro Selic instruments in Brazil. They hold those bonds in custody, issue tokenized representations on-chain 1:1 backed by the underlying bond, and handle all compliance, yield distribution, and redemption mechanics. You hold a token. The bond backs it. The yield accrues in real time. When you want out, you redeem. Etherfuse handles the unwinding. You receive principal plus accrued yield. No broker took a cut. No bank marked up the rate. No paperwork sat in a queue. This is what the access layer to sovereign debt should have always looked like.

I'm kind of being antagonistic here, but a lot of the private credit markets propose high yields which are never realized. Like when you work with RWAs or fixed rate, the projected yield is over a period of a year. And so when they're less or more, it's very obvious. You know, a lot of private credit markets will say stuff like 20, 30, 50%. Those are almost never realized unless it's extremely short term.

.@etherfuse CEO @EtherfuseDave on building onchain treasuries for four years while the US figured out the rules: "In some ways we were outcasts. We started this a long time ago. Our thesis four years ago was the US would not provide clear guidelines." "We're the second tokenized treasury in the world issued onchain and we did it from Mexico. Nobody has heard about it because you're not in Mexico." "When we come back to the States, we know what we are and we know how to operate. Everyone else will have to compete with us fair. I'm excited because I'm from here. I'm an American and it'll be nice to tell my friends what I do."

Mexican CETES: the savings instrument your bank never told you about. 🇲🇽 CETES are Mexico's sovereign short-term debt instruments. Issued by the federal government every Tuesday since 1978. Maturities of 28, 91, 182, and 364 days. Zero historical default on domestic currency obligations. The yield tracks Banxico's benchmark rate directly. Banxico cut its rate to 7% in February 2026 after a 12-meeting easing cycle. Pistachio's CETES vault currently yields 5.7% via tokenized instruments through Etherfuse. Mexico's CPI inflation is running roughly 4%. That's a real yield of about 1.7%. Compared to the average Mexican bank savings account paying under 3% against that same 4% inflation, you are looking at the difference between a real gain and a guaranteed real loss. The traditional route to CETES (cetesdirecto.com) requires a CURP, government ID, CLABE, and days of processing. Most people gave up. Banks captured the yield instead. Pistachio's CETES vault: download, fund, earn 5.7%. No ID. No CLABE. Under 5 minutes. Same Mexican government. Same bond. Different access layer.

Bridge is expanding globally. We recently launched cards in 100 countries with Visa. Today we’re adding full GBP support — virtual accounts, pay-ins, payouts. We'll be adding many more new corridors and payment rails over the next 9 months
Bridge@Stablecoin

Global businesses can now integrate GBP on and offramps with Bridge. Enable GBP deposits via virtual accounts and build stablecoin-based payroll, payouts, remittances, or treasury workflows. This builds on Bridge’s existing support for USD, MXN, BRL and EUR, with more local currencies coming.

"A stablebond is a blockchain token backed by a government bond. When you purchase an Etherfuse stablebond, your money goes to buy the corresponding government security. The token you receive represents fractional ownership of that bond. The yield comes directly from the bond's coupon payments, not from DeFi lending or liquidity provision." antastic writeup from the @PistachioFi team ⬇️
