@Hilbe I didn’t tell you that you were wrong and I still challenge Wassym’s claim to be somewhere between untrue and a flat out lie! As an increasing critical Rivian fan, the amount of cult like blind witnesses is Tesla like annoying. Keep the realness up sir.

Remember when I got told I was wrong about the R2 Premium Audio because the R2 windows were open? 💀 I'll say it this way. When you get into a Tesla Model 3, Model Y, or Cybertruck and put music on with the windows open and/or closed, it sounds amazing every time. You know right away that the Tesla vehicles have a good sound system. That is not what the R2 Block Party MVBs are today. I'm sort of surprised they didn't load them with the production setup TBH. Obviously my opinion is based on my short personal hands-on experience and highly subjective. I look forward to others sitting in the R2 cockpit and giving their reviews on the audio as well.

Rivian expects 9,000 to 11,000 vehicle deliveries in Q2. Based on full year guidance, that implies 40,000+ Rivian deliveries across Q3 and Q4, largely driven by the ramp of Rivian R2. R2 production is described as “back-half-weighted,” meaning only a small number of deliveries are expected in Q2, with most arriving later as production scales.

I just pointed out the differences vs the two rounds of "launch" offers Rivian made in the past, as folks who have been following them closely but unable to jump in due to price may have projected expectations. Also, to be fair, I had multiple tell me the original plan was for colors other than Launch Green to be a free color choice on Launch, so that has changed internally. MYP which this is 100% compared against, offers any color you want at no additional cost.

With all due respect, we need to stop comparing R2 packaging, pricing and marketing to R1. They are completely different vehicles in completely different market segments appealing to completely different consumers with completely different costing & margin structure. (To be clear I’m not throwing any shade at Travis)

Imagine spending >$120k on a quad motor @Rivian and finding the sound system so sub par you’re considering DIY solutions or a new vehicle. This is why trust needs to be earned on R2 audio, and it needs to be GREAT.
