*check check, is this on? * I haven’t posted much in a long time. not because nothing was happening. maybe because too much was. Just realized, the last real update I remember sharing was getting an internship at @Tesla . Since then, multiple mini eras started and ended. I graduated, became a big boy designer for real, moved to sf, got my dream job, then even left places i loved, joined new ones (hi, @Intuit ), made things i’m proud of, made things i wish i did better, learned a lot, doubted a lot, and kept coming back to the same thing: I really, really love making things. Recently, I got my O-1 visa approved I know technically it is a visa. but it does not feel like just a visa. it feels like a milestone and a stamp for every invisible thing that had to happen before it. the late nights. the tiny bets. the people who believed in me before i fully knew how to believe in myself. the work no one saw. the work that changed me. As an immigrant, your future can feel conditional in a way that is hard to explain.. even when things are going well, there is always this quiet little asterisk next to everything. (especially... in big 26' *mhm*) So in a weird way this feels odd and alot at the same time. not because I think I have “made it.” mostly because it gives me more room to keep going. more room to build. more room to take bigger swings. more room and power to make the kind of things i came here hoping to make. for the love of creating “extraordinary” sh*t. more to come soon X, check this space ;) what’s next.
