In June 2025 on 4chan, an anonymous poster dropped what he called 'the script' — a full timeline predicting the next phase of global events. He warned of Israel breaking ceasefires and striking Iran, Trump responding aggressively with bunker busters, Iran hitting all Gulf oil fields and U.S. bases, oil prices skyrocketing, failed invasions, U.S. civil war, tactical nukes, then a staged fake alien invasion using synthetic soldiers released by MJ12. By 2027 — 5 billion dead and a one world government. The war's early phases are unfolding eerily close to the script: Israel struck Iran after fragile truces collapsed, Trump unleashed bunker-busters on hardened sites, Iran retaliated by hitting Gulf oil fields and U.S. bases, oil prices exploded, and the U.S. surged carriers into theater (two active now—Lincoln and Ford—with a third, Bush, on the verge of joining). Coincidence or did an anon really leak the playbook?

I won't say Denis fucked up, but I will say he fucked up.
Frank Herbert gave Denis what he needed to clarify scenes. That is Princess Irulian's monologue at the beginning of the chapters. A version of them could have been inserted into the film at various points. Not a perfect solution, but I would have applauded the effort. It would have been somewhat consistent with the books and clarified what cannot translate to film.

The economy doesn't produce enough growth so the central planning committee is override local governments to build centrally planned industrial conceits to try and meet budget gaps. It's literally an attempt to downgrade Canada from a first world status to an economic zone controlled by the politburo. Worst of both worlds.

It's not only that, it's that Denis completely removes all of the internal monologue, and almost all of the dialogue that actually produces these scenes. I was listening to the audiobook earlier and there are pages and pages of Paul figuring out how to get the Fremen to change their tradition from new leaders having to kill the old in mutual combat. Or another big example is Gurney and Thufir still thinking that the Bene Gesserit and Jessica were the ones who betrayed Leto. Denis doesn't know how to make what Herbert wrote in terms of character onto the page, all he can do is present you their expressions and the bare minimum of literature. That's why normies love it and book fans feel unfulfilled.

It really should be two ways at the same time.
1. AI needs to seriously be "fixed" so that it can interpret expertise better. Meaning, it needs to understand direction, and technical prompts like lens lengths, pans etc. Color grading.
2. Non-AI art needs to be seen as a prestige investment where only the best and greatest get to access it.
What we have right now are incredibly talented people that are using unfinished tools to make things with compromise, and a bunch of unworthy filmmakers trying to save money on large scale productions with professional crews.
The true artist can make something worth watching with a bunch of stick figures, AI or 350m dollars worth of epic sets, extras, and film cameras. On one side you have gate keeping, on the other unrefined tools.

I just got another comment like this which brings to mind @MeinGottNiles latest post about his process of AI animation.
These posts always make me laugh because it insinuates that Directing, Editing, Storyboarding, Writing, etc. are not talents; Scorsese didn't have talent because he didn't sculpt every element of the film by himself and *only* directed. Editors in post-production who cut the film together are not talented because they are *only* editing. Paul Schrader did not have talent because he *only* wrote the screenplay of Taxi Driver.
All of these skills and talents are still required to make a quality AI animated film, and all are usually done by a single person. The person commenting is claiming I am not using my talents anymore because I didn't animate every single frame of this animation by hand - which I am capable of and have done for 20 years.
But these people never seem to understand that the 55 minutes of Will Stancil Show animation that I've done in 4 months would traditionally have taken me nearly 4 years, lmao. As I always say, Independent Animators are the only artists who are expected to do the jobs of hundreds of people. And when one finds an incredible tool that radically shortens the back-breaking labor while still allowing one to have full creative control (the equivalent of getting a studio of Korean animators) they then claim you are not an artist, or your new films do not require talent.
Really the only way to rationalize how someone could make such an absurd conclusion as this is that a) they never have seriously attempted to animate or make a film in their life and b) they have <90 IQ.

If you look into it you will see that "the liberal" party's "vision" for canada is essentially a centrally driven economy that leverages selling off natural resources and lower wages to foreign investments.
They have essentially abandoned their own people and the entire concept of the nation's citizenry as a bottom-up institution. Bill C-5 essentially allows the federal government to override local rules for this purpose. yet they can only manage 1.1 percent growth.
When you look at MAID through that lens, you realize the government is just trying to save money on healthcare expenses. Canada is a vision for what happens to a European people when their government is owned by bankers who view them as employees, and we all know what corporations have been doing to their employees. Replacing them with cheaper foreigners.
