This morning started with #terrorinGeorgia: the regime is raiding the homes of fund founders seized in a #GeorgiaProtests-related investigation last month, and the apartment of Mariam Bajelidze, a pregnant ex-member of @Shamemovement with a 5-year-old daughter at home.

This is one of the political figures of @GeorgianDream41 . His narrative ( as of GD) is centered around the idea that the global war party controls the world, with everyone—except Georgian Dream—under its influence. The new narrative put forward by Georgian Dream claims that @realDonaldTrump is controlled by this global deep state and has surrendered to their power. According to Georgian Dream, the entire world, including Trump and all of the states, is under their control, while only Georgian Dream remains strong and independent. #GeorgiaProtests #SanctionIvanishvili

🚨 Watch how Ivanishvili’s police treat women in Georgia This is the reality of police brutality against women in our country. Instead of protecting citizens, the system silences and oppresses them. #HumanRights #Georgia #PoliceBrutality

A giant supra, Georgia’s traditional feast, will be held across Rustaveli this New Year’s Eve. This iconic street will serve as the gathering point for protesters, who will celebrate the arrival of 2025 while demanding the release of political prisoners and new elections. Photo: @fall_out_monkey

The U.S. is sanctioning Bidzina Grigoris Dze Ivanishvili, the founder and honorary chairman of Georgian Dream. His actions have enabled human rights abuses and undermined the democratic and European future of the Georgian people for the benefit of the Russian Federation.

The changes Georgian Dream (GD) has implemented against its own people in the past 9 days are both oppressive and absurd. Here is the list: 1.Preemptive Arrests (Arrest for Prevention): GD can arrest you without any evidence of a crime. If they believe you might commit an offense, or if you’ve been fined or arrested before, they have the power to detain you purely based on suspicion. 2.Minority Punishment: If you are a minor and GD believes you might have committed, or may commit, an offense, your parents will be fined. 3.Criminalizing Protest Actions: If you join a protest with your car and the police decide you are blocking the road, you can be fined and have your license revoked for a year. 4.Fines for Expressing Yourself: Writing a sentence or graffiti critical of the government used to carry a fine of 50 Lari (around $18). Now, the fine is 1,000 Lari (about $350), significantly increasing the punishment for any form of public dissent. 5.Punitive Measures for Fireworks: Carrying or owning a fireworks, even if you don’t use them, can result in a fine of 5,000 Lari (about $1,700) or 15,000 Lari (about $5,000), or you could be imprisoned for up to 15 days. 6.Laser Restrictions: If you bring a laser to a demonstration, you will be fined 2,000 Lari (around $700). This is just another way to limit peaceful protest tactics and prevent any form of resistance that might make an impact. 7.Anti-Gas Mask Prohibition: If you wear an anti-gas mask or hide your face at a protest with anything , you will face a fine of 2,000 Lari. This measure is clearly aimed at discouraging people from protecting themselves from police violence, and it is part of a broader effort to intimidate and control demonstrators. As the government moves closer to Russia, these tactics mirror the oppressive regimes of authoritarian states. They are pushing Georgia further away from its European values and aspirations, and closer to a dictatorship where the people’s rights are continually violated. The Georgian Dream government must be held accountable, and the international community must act to stop this slide into tyranny. #GeorgiaProtests #TerrorinGeorgia

Just seconds ago, @TvPirveli journalist was brutally assaulted by titushky near the Georgian parliament. TV Pirveli crew was reporting on titushky presence in central Tbilisi and witnessed on camera a citizen being assaulted. Both cameraman and journalist were beaten.
