#Minembwe : fragilisés et coincés, les combattants Twirwaneho -M23-RDF appelés à se rendre aux FARDC Les Forces armées de la République démocratique du Congo (FARDC) ont lancé une campagne de sensibilisation à l’intention des combattants de la coalition rebelle de l’AFC-M23-RDF et du groupe Twirwaneho encore présents dans les hauts plateaux de Minembwe, au Sud-Kivu. Selon l’armée, cet appel intervient dans un contexte où les rebelles, fragilisés par la pression militaire exercée par les FARDC sur différents fronts, se retrouveraient progressivement encerclés dans certaines zones de Minembwe, avec des possibilités de repli de plus en plus réduites. À travers un drone non militaire équipé d’un haut-parleur, l’armée congolaise diffuse des messages invitant les combattants à déposer les armes et à se rendre dans des positions sécurisées situées notamment à Kakekenge, Kalingi et Mikenge. Des tracts appelant à privilégier la paix sont également largués dans les zones concernées. « BONJOUR AMIS ! NOUS SOMMES LES FORCES ARMÉES DE LA RDC. NOUS VOUS CONSEILLONS, POUR LA PAIX, DE DÉPOSER LES ARMES ET DE VOUS RENDRE À KAKEKENGE, KALINGI OU MIKENGE. CELA VOUS AIDERA, CAR NOUS VOUS AIMONS BEAUCOUP. CELUI QUI REFUSERA DE RÉPONDRE À CET APPEL LE FERA À SES RISQUES ET PÉRILS. MERCI DE VOTRE COMPRÉHENSION», peut-on entendre dans les messages diffusés au-dessus de Minembwe. Des sources sécuritaires affirment que cette initiative vise notamment à prévenir d’éventuelles représailles contre les populations civiles, alors que les groupes armés subissent une forte pression militaire sur le terrain. Les FARDC chercheraient ainsi à favoriser des redditions volontaires afin d’éviter que des combattants acculés ne s’en prennent aux habitants dans les localités encore sous tension. Plusieurs éléments ont répondu à l’appel même si d’autres traînent encore les pas. Selon des informations recueillies sur place, cinq combattants du M23, dont un membre de la communauté tutsi, se seraient déjà rendus aux FARDC après ces opérations de sensibilisation. Pour plusieurs observateurs locaux, cette stratégie traduit la volonté des autorités congolaises de privilégier une sortie pacifique pour les combattants souhaitant abandonner les armes, tout en poursuivant les opérations visant à rétablir l’autorité de l’État dans les hauts plateaux du Sud-Kivu. Then why did you disguise a violent power grab as a struggle to stop genocide? Survive❓ Is what you call “survival” the looting of Congo and the killing of Congolese people❓ And if you speak of history ,explain this: In April 1994, while killings were still ongoing, why did the #RPA send letters suggesting that those who were supposed to die had already died, when many Tutsis were still alive and in danger? Then why is it constantly used as a shield against criticism❓ The “heroes” you speak of ,are they the same ones responsible for killings in #Kibeho, #Byumba, #Congo, and elsewhere❓ Are they the same system that silenced people like #KizitoMihigo, #AssinapolRwigara, and #AndréKagwaRwisereka? Does stopping one atrocity give you the authority to commit others ,even beyond your borders? 5️⃣You said: "It is painful to see survivors being accused of the very ideology that harmed them." Who exactly are you talking about❓ Is it Aimable Karasira❓ Is it Adeline Rwigara?❓ Is it Déogratias Mushayidi❓ Or Yvonne Idamange❓ All of them are genocide survivors ,yet you accuse them of denial when they speak. So who decides who a “real survivor” is? You❓ 6️⃣You said: "The youth you trained today is different ,thoughtful, and eager to seek truth." Is that the same youth openly saying that when Kagame dies, they will kill seven times more than the Interahamwe did, and not a single leader condemns it❓ Is that the “truth” you are nurturing❓ Madam❗️ No more speeches.
