I believe that the interfaces of the future will disappear. Instead of buttons and menus, we will interact with objects. The process itself becomes the feedback.
Building software is always a complex craft, but spatial computing is a different beast entirely. It demands a fusion of visual art, logic, and spatial UI where every interaction happens in the air around you.
With OPERATOR, built for Apple Vision Pro, we explored this by turning music into a sculpture. The music track isn't a timeline anymore; it’s a 3D object you can walk around, touch, and modify from any angle.

I wrote a piece for @archpaper about the National Design Studio and the insidiousness of “rebranding” government services instead of improving them. Thanks to my editors for letting me use the phrase “tread on me daddy” in an architecture publication 🫡 archpaper.com/2025/12/nation…

the only skill that will matter in the future is creativity and cultural connection.
ironically the best way to cultivate that is everything other than being overwhelmed with endless content online, generating mindlessly or consuming the same resources as everybody else
the new tools are amazing, but the speed of them and ease of use is so crazy that things move so fast that the depth and focus is disappearing
maybe that's the paradox, that as speed creates even more "average" products, the "extraordinary" products crafted with true care will shine. it just takes a lot of willpower to stay slow.
i just need to grab a pen and paper and think. slowly, deeply.
