@Poteyuhroney1 @Rory_Johnston @LynAldenContact The why wouldn’t a “gas station” sell gas based on what they paid for it and undercut their competitor and take business from them? Following your logic, every “gas station” conspired with every other to raise prices uniformly.

@fiportmgr @Rory_Johnston @LynAldenContact Thanks, smarty pants. I guess that means soon gas stations will sell their gas below what they pay for it. I wouldn’t. But if you own a gas station, go for it.

We didn’t really learn anything more from Trump’s Iran War address, but those things he reaffirmed are likely going to continue driving crude prices higher: - plans to achieve military targets in 2-3 weeks, which likely means further escalation - believes US is winning, achieving all its goals, energy price pain a temporary necessary cost - plans to leave the task of reopening the Strait to Europe/Asia, and no one knows what that will look like More escalation, more risk of upstream facility counterattacks, Hormuz likely closed for another month at least and who knows after that. Hard to believe that, best case, we’re only like halfway through this.

@Poteyuhroney1 @Rory_Johnston @LynAldenContact Oil and products are priced at replacement cost. It doesn’t matter what the oil companies paid for it. And it doesn’t matter that the US doesn’t get oil thru the Strait. Any Econ 1 student can explain it to you.

@Rory_Johnston @LynAldenContact The bs here is we don’t get any US oil thru Hormuz. So why did prices here spike? They hiked gas prices 25% for consumers on gas they bought when oil was $56/barrel. Regardless, oil prices will return to low sooner than later, much to the dismay of TDS people.

Gavin Newsom doubled Medicaid spending, from $94 billion to $197B per year, while his state's population declined by 0.2 percent. It's not "services expanding" and "new programs being launched." It's just billions in fraud—and massive handouts to his union paymasters.
Governor Newsom Press Office@GovPressOffice

Right-wing stooge posing as a “reporter” has never heard of services expanding, new programs being launched, or costs going up due to inflation. Suggest he subscribe to our press release list to learn more about how the Governor is delivering for Californians.

It seems clear that the Supreme Court is going to find that the 250,000 babies born to illegal immigrants each year are our fellow citizens. I posit we must then focus on assimilating them, and making them proud to be American.

Putting aside headaches for the court by way of security, I haven't really heard a compelling argument for why the sitting president shouldn't attend oral arguments in a case concerning one of his key policies, assuming he has the time to do so. If anything, the image of the leader of the world's most powerful country listening (hopefully not glowering) as judges exercise their (theoretically) independent legal review of his action strikes me as a pretty remarkable visual of the constitutional separation of powers. This happens all the time for lower level officials. Fed Chair Jerome Powell was in attendance for the Lisa Cook case. Bessent/Lutnick attended tariffs. And Biden/Obama officials before them.

I’m frequently disappointed in politicians but Tom Massie defied the odds in my unfortunate experiences with him, as he surpassed my lowest expectations. This zero pretends to be a principled defender of liberty but, in the real world, he supports third-world tyranny. Here are the receipts from a phone call I had with this zero offering him a briefing on multiple investigations he was inserting himself into by publicly commenting on them. Rather than affording the subjects of the cases their constitutional Right to due process, Massie chose to waive off the briefing and litigate it on X for clicks. Notice I tried to call him back but he wasn’t interested in facts. It’s also of note that I never heard a single word from Massie during the process we engaged in to release the Epstein case docs. This process played out in media everywhere and yet Massie never reached out. Not once. It’s almost as if he wants to be a moron. As if ignorance is bliss for him. I’m horrified I once believed this guy was authentic.

We have had over a decade to know Epstein was a child predator, that Democrats kept in close operation and contact with him even after conviction, that Trump cut all ties and helped prosecute him, and all congress, you included for 13 years now, not saying a damn word about it. You are f'n toast, dude...

@BBSoFL @nypost What on earth would lead you to believe the Trump administration would heavily vet her? All you have to do is look at their appointees to disabuse you of the notion they heavily vet anybody. He appointed Matt Gaetz to be Attorney General.

@nypost The Trump administration had to know of this, as I am sure she was heavily vetted. The question should be who decided to go ahead anyway with her as DHS Sec?

“What DHS officials shared with me this week, as I spoke with them after Mullin took office, is he doesn’t have to do a lot. He has to revert course — back to letting senior officials across the department, across agencies, career officials, do the jobs they know how to do.” Washington Examiner’s @Anna_Giaritelli on how DHS sources are characterizing Secretary Markwayne Mullin's role.

@ashlee_leeee @cspanwj First of all, DHS does a bunch more than just border security. Arguably much more important stuff than the border. And secondly, if you were hiring for a job, would you look for relevant experience?

@fiportmgr @cspanwj To demonstrate that relevant experience can be worthless if you allow your ideology to drive your approach to doing the job. The well qualified guy made a mockery of the border so I don’t care much about relevant experience.
