🔺️A tourist identified as 40-year-old Tamirah Yasmeen Dix, a resident of Atlanta, Georgia, died Saturday night after suffering an apparent incident while at a zipline in Orocovis, PR 🇵🇷 ​According to preliminary information, the woman allegedly received a heavy blow to the face as she was preparing to go down the zipline. Based on the account provided by her relatives to agents of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Vega Baja, Dix completed the course and later reunited with them. ​Following the activity, the group went to have lunch, but the tourist stated she did not wanted to eat. Shortly after, she went to the bathroom, where she vomited. Given the deterioration of her health, her relatives chose to return to the hotel where they were staying in Dorado. ​While traveling along Highway PR-693, the woman’s condition worsened, leading them to call the 9-1-1 Emergency System. An ambulance intercepted the vehicle and transported the tourist to the Orlando Health Doctor Center hospital in Dorado, where doctors attempted to resuscitate her. Nevertheless, she was pronounced dead at nightfall. ​The body will be transported to the Institute of Forensic Sciences in Río Piedras, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
