Over the years of making Tech content I've interacted with many Tech communities. One thing I've learnt is that the more defensive people are about their favorite language/library/etc the more subconsciously they realized how shit it is. You don't need to defend good Tech.

What alternatives are there to docker sandbox for sandboxing Claude Code? It's unreliable as hell on WSL. /sandbox doesn't do what I want - cc can always get around it and it doesn't allow for properly AFK workflows.

@thdxr I think where most teams struggle is actually onboarding the agents inside their codebases. They had no docs to begin with so agents are struggling to make sense of their messes.

@thdxr It is so unfortunate that I cannot share my findings since they are all very internally linked. It is possible to use coding agents clearly and safely IF you actually treat them like interns. Onboard them, sandbox them, etc. Do not let them have the final say.

us: we are struggling to figure out the best way to use coding agents, we don't have clarity yet everyone else: our team is moving at speeds unheard of, all our PRs are ai generated, we've cleared 6 years of backlog man we must really suck huh

@pierskicks Don't think discovery is the issue. It is the market. Who plays in-browser games? People that can't install Steam. Who are the people that can't install Steam? Kids that are in school mostly and behind a firewall.

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. Automated snapshots were gone too. In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again. @jarredsumner @samlambert I also saw an ad for them. Seemed to target other game developers and have integrations for game dev flows so maybe this is where the actual strength is.

@samlambert I’m confused why if their target usecase is closer to an in-memory database, Redis/Valkey is not in there when postgres is. And where LMDB is. And why their SQLite example has an http rpc server when SQLite is an in-process db.
