Dear former Eskimo / Elk fans. If you are one of those people where the team name change was the final straw and you stopped coming to games…It’s time to forgive and comeback. In my opinion: you have the best Defense in the league (how about the addition of Malik Carney), you have the best RB in the league, your QB is an MOP candidate and your HC/OC/DC are humming. Next weekend you play the defending Grey cup champs (again) but this time at home. It’s time to comeback and restore the fanbase. I won’t be there (doing Friday game in Ottawa) but I hope to see commonwealth packed and on fire!!!!

@JasonGregor Love that the #Elks won. Loving that they seem to be on the up and up. Please remember though, the organization and team have been atrocious for 7-9 years+. Might take more than a half season (actually less) of good play to win fans back.

What a game. Back and forth big plays from both teams. Fajardo is 17-for-21 for 405 yards and 4 TDS. Harris is 21-for-29 for 340 and 4 TDs. If you aren’t watching you are missing out on an entertaining game. Still 12 minutes remaining.

@mathewjdp Edm does not have the assets to aquire all the players that would fit that 21 mil. That Jarry trade really hurt, they could use the extra money now to get a player for the whole season.

Edm has $4.7M in cap space right now. Deadline cap space is $21.8M. I'm more than happy they hold onto their current roster until the deadline.

@JasonGregor Great read, I love and fully support local businesses to the best that my wallet can offer. Where i struggle, and many do, is the rise in prices (food/drinks/tips) has made it so that i eat out, less and less. Inflation and taxes are killing local business and people.

This is well written and the City of Edmonton administration should read and realize the bigger issue.

@TopTierPucks So.....if you take the 5 years he has been with the Oilers and average his goals....he is a 35 goal scorer, he only hoped 50, once. Im an Oilers fan and LOVE Hyman but we have to be realistic with numbers. He's hound at least be in the C category, maybe B.
