I understand the impetus for this, and to a degree this works out in protecting the political apparatus on here, which is just fine.
But I feel like it's ill-advised as a blanket solution for the problem of foreign influence because it directly implies that Xwitter is "for politics".
There are people for whom global reach and monetization is important and necessary, such as artists, animators, content creators of any stripe, really.
I believe this solution is a hammer for a problem that requires a scalpel, and reduces from the original vision of the platform as the "everything" app to the "politics" app.
