JUST IN: TWO MEN LINKED TO FIREARMS SEEN IN VIRAL VIDEO ARRESTED, FIREARMS SEIZED The South African Police Service (SAPS) has arrested two men linked to firearms seen in a viral video circulating on social media in which women are seen recklessly and negligently handling firearms. Following the circulation of the video, SAPS Gauteng Crime Intelligence launched a tracing operation which led officers to Tembisa, Gauteng, where the suspects were located and arrested. The firearms seen in the video were seized by police and preliminary investigations reveal that the firearms are unlicensed. During the operation, the suspects were also found in possession of a hijacked vehicle. Gauteng Crime Intelligence is continuing with profiling and investigations into the suspects. The two men aged 21 and 34 have been arrested for contravention of the Firearms Control Act, the illegal possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, as well as being in possession of a hijacked motor vehicle. Police are continuing with investigations to trace the women seen in the video recklessly and negligently handling the firearms. The Acting National Commissioner of the SAPS, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane has commended Gauteng Crime Intelligence for their swift response in tracing the suspects linked to the firearms seen in the video. The Acting National Commissioner said the arrests send a strong warning that the reckless handling and display of firearms on will not be tolerated and that police will act decisively against those who break the law. Police further warn members of the public against the reckless handling and display of firearms, as such conduct endangers lives and constitutes a serious criminal offence. The suspects are expected to appear before the Tembisa Magistrate's Court next week.

FRESH LEADS with @HeidiGiokos this morning. A fourth suspect is expected to hand himself over to authorities this morning. As @HeidiGiokos reports, sources indicate his representatives are handing him over. The person of interest decided he'll hand himself over to the cops this morning to be processed and hopefully appear before court. AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED BY @eNCA: The individual sought by SAPS is well known within the taxi industry. He is from Soshanguve, Pretoria, and is also known for his flamboyant lifestyle on social media. It's alleged he was close to the late taxi boss Jothan Msibi and Sibanyoni. When Sibanyoni and Msibi had a fallout, he (the wanted person) then chose to side and align with JS. More updates on @eNCA #403 #DSTV @HeidiGiokos @Abramjee

This is dangerous and reckless behaviour. South African Police Service please we need to find these women and lock them up. This is a serious breach of the FCA. We ask the community to help us identify these women we will personally open cases against them and see to it that they dance to their music Nb if they harm each other or themselves please do not blame us like you did with that other dude but we are not going to sit and watch lawlessness strive. Let's work 💪🏿 🙌🏿

BREAKING SABC 1's Generations: The Legacy Actor Mondli Thusi Is Fighting For His Life After Surviving Two Pitbull Attacks Prominent Generations: The Legacy actor Mondli Thusi is fighting for his life after escaping death during an attack by two vicious pitbulls outside his home in Boksburg, Gauteng. According to sources close to the situation, Thusi who plays the role of Isaac in the daily SABC 1 telenovela is still fighting for his life and for justice following the attack. The incident happened on the 4th of May outside his residence in a Boksburg complex. He was later admitted to Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg. MDN News is in possession of gruesome pictures showing the body parts where the two pitbulls injured him. "Things are not okay for him; he is still fighting for his life, even though he is stable," said the first source. "The issue with his case is that the owner of the two pitbulls is trying to be clever and denies owning both dogs. He is now claiming that he only owns one pitbull and that the other was taken by the SPCA. We are just wondering why they failed to take both of them, because it is clear that the owner is failing to keep them in a safe place where they won't be able to attack other people." MDN News is also in possession of email exchanges between Thusi's lawyers and the owner of the pitbulls. "These dogs must not be around people because they are very vicious. As Mondli lies in hospital, he can't even attend to his businesses and acting gigs. Those dogs tore him apart, and it was only through God's grace that he managed to fight them off before they took his life," a second source said. MDN News also has a voice note from Thusi detailing how the incident happened. In the recording, he said: "I'm still in so much pain, but I'm getting better by the day. I cannot share many details since the matter is being handled by my lawyers, but I can confirm that the incident did happen." Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza confirmed the incident. "I can confirm that we are investigating a case of keeping a ferocious dog, following an incident where a man was attacked and bitten by dogs," she said.

Bafazi, for awareness!!!! Almost got robbed near MTN Taxi Rank this morning, so please be extra cautious when driving past that area. There were about five guys wearing blue reflective jackets, which made them appear to be public workers. They stopped my car and claimed that there was something wrong with my tyres, telling me to pull over and get out to see it. Fortunately, I knew my car has sensors that would alert me if there was a problem, so I refused to stop. They became aggressive and started hitting the car, but I managed to drive away safely. Ladies, especially, please do not stop in that area. It is not safe!!!!
