@foxdentraining @sam_gzstrength Even starting with a 65lb deadlift, every able-bodied man should be able to add 5lbs a workout, 3 workouts a week, for 3 months. That puts them at a 260lb deadlift.

There is no debate that a 135lb x 5 Press, 225 x 5 Bench, 315 x 5 Squat and 405lbs x 5 Deadlift is attainable by every able bodied man with a little time, dedication, smart programming, and good form.

@foxdentraining @sam_gzstrength Two years? Every able bodied man should be able to get to a 200lb deadlift in less than 3 months. I'll even qualify that generously with "under age 55".

Hit biceps with my trainer friend yesterday at the gym and it hurts to extend my arms now. Told him I’m trying to get Kayla Harrison arms and he was like okay well then I’m going to kill you. He did not let me stop my reps until he had to physically assist me with the last reps lol

“I’m always hungry…nothing seems to fill me up. What should I do?” More potatoes. “I don’t have as much energy in the gym as I’d like…any suggestions?” More potatoes. “My digestion/gut health need work…where do I even start?” More potatoes. Put simply: Potatoes are the solution to MANY of your health problems, folks

@brentlajeunesse Great post. This is how it’s supposed to be done imo. Squeeze every last ounce you can out of natty before even considering TRT, which as you correctly state should be viewed as a replacement not an enhancement. And def not a shortcut for someone who just needs to put in work.

Lots of comments on my post about taking TRT. “When and why did you go enhanced at age 50?” Honestly, I don’t see basic TRT as enhancement. Here’s my full story and why this matters for the average guy. By the time I hit 50, my testosterone had crashed to 220. There was some trial and error leading up to that. I was probably around 42 when I first noticed things slipping badly. I cleaned up my diet, lost weight, and trained hard, eventually pulling it back up to around 400 naturally. But even then I was still wrecked: constant fatigue, brain fog, lethargy, no drive. Its hard to even get to the gym when you feel that way. When I went back to the Doctor she agreed it was time we started TRT. My levels stabilized at 800 plus. I felt like 30 again. Energy, mood, gym recovery all back. Did that for a decade while lifting consistently. Then life happened. Diet slipped, 2 to 3 pounds crept on yearly over almost a decade. Back to carrying extra fat despite training. Added Tirzepatide and Retatrutide (Triz and Reta) to drop the weight efficiently. Got trim again, feeling strong. I still don’t call that enhanced. It’s a tool to maintain what time and metabolism took away. The real question for the average guy: If nature or age or obesity steals your testosterone, is replacing it to normal physiological levels enhancing? Or is it just replacement? That’s literally why it’s called Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Medical guidelines support this. TRT is for men with symptoms plus confirmed low T below 300 ng/dL. It restores normal function. Libido, energy, muscle maintenance, bone density. Not superhuman gains. Doses aim for mid normal range, unlike bodybuilding cycles. Testosterone declines about 1 percent per year after 30 to 40. Many men over 50 sit low. Fixing a deficiency isn’t cheating nature in my opinion. It’s correcting it so you can keep living actively. Now, at 58 when I added HGH for serious bulking? Extra Test... Yeah, that’s enhancement for me. Ive tried more Test and it's not for me, 200mg a week is all I need, same dose now for almost 15 years. Toss in the GH and Reta and I feel incredible. More active, stronger, recovering better than guys half my age. I own that and won’t stop. This I say now goes beyond replacement into optimization. What do you think, bros? TRT for diagnosed low T. Replacement or enhanced? Where’s the line for the average 40 plus guy just trying to stay strong and vital? Natty purists versus smart therapeutic users? There is no right or wrong answer, it about personal choice. Drop your takes. This conversation resonates. Men want to age powerfully, not just accept decline. Let’s discuss facts over judgment If you’re considering TRT (with options like HCG support), or GLP for weight loss, my partner @matrixreformed_ offers a solid virtual setup with labs and consults. Seriously how the hell does anyone do 10 plus sets on quad day in one session? 3 hard AF sets of squats, hacks or split squats and I’m spent. Have to dig deep to hit 2 additional burn out sets on leg extension to close it out. 10 sets a week over 2 sessions is more than enough. Anymore and intensity drops off a cliff. Can’t imagine doing more than 3 heavy sets close to failure. My legs are literally shaking after the 3rd set.

@TheK_Nox Pull-ups. And weighted pull-ups. And you’re good all day long. Most will say no, but it’s true. 3X per week. 5 sets of 10. Sets of 5 til failure (weighted).

@AlphaFierceDad Upper arm separation and abdominal veins. Most guys sit comfortably around 20% body fat, but when you really start dialing it in you realize you never want to go back.

When did you first look at yourself and think, “Alright… I’m finally looking lean”? For me, it was upper‑arm separation. New territory, nothing extreme, but enough to say I’m officially leanish. What was it for you...a certain muscle, striation, lower ab, glute/hammy detail?

Some guys are really, REALLY strong, while carrying around a solid 30-40 pounds of straight up fat. And they know it and they’re good with that. And that’s cool.

Including 20-30 mins of stretching in that same session, he is correct. But 30 minutes of high intensity work also counts. If you’re doing PPL, you already know it’s 150 minutes each day (including stretching).
Brady Holmer@Brady_H

You should be doing 150 minutes a day.

Drunks have always day drank. And if you goto some random bar during the day on the weekend, there will always be some pudgy red-faced alcoholics present, cackling and frolicking and whatnot.
Erik@e_cdalton

Day drinking is exploding. This may feel new or strange, even degenerate, but it’s healthier and it's how people drank throughout history. Night life was rare before cheap electricity. You needed to afford candles or lamp oil to stay up late and drink. Great development. MAHA
