@Timodc You're saying there will be *no* candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives on the ballot in New Orleans? Will there even *be* an election in New Orleans? Has the city been sold back to France? This is a travesty! Oh, horrors!

@VivekGRamaswamy Dude! The union bosses are going to insist on their cut, driving up costs! You criss-crossed the state collecting their endorsements! What did you promise them?

A man who attended his first-ever political event asked me a pragmatic question about infrastructure & I told him the truth: the less money we squander on waste, fraud, and abuse, the more money we’ll have to spend on worthy infrastructure improvements.

@TheCalvinCooli1 I won't predict the fall election, but @VivekGRamaswamy has to motivate certain conservative constituencies. Second Amendment? Pro-life? Those for whom Right to Work is a key issue have no reason for enthusiasm. Will pro-lifers?

Let’s talk about Vivek Ramaswamy This will give you a brief overview. Please read before commenting something stupid. When he first ran for President he was in the Perry Johnson and Ryan Binkley tire. Then he was everywhere in Conservative media. As a result, his poll numbers rose very quickly. That was because he was running to the right of Trump. I didn’t take him seriously, I knew he wouldn’t win and was just running for something else. Whenever, he spoke folks in the “Conservative” media acted like God just spoke or a major revelation was revealed. I didn’t fall for that. I had some serious questions about his campaign. So did Dr. Michael Savage Then the debates happened. The 1st debate turned me off. The 2nd second debate he did poorly. The latter debates he did well. Then the Trump team realized that he was running against them and taking votes away. So they dumped him. After Iowa, he dropped out. I remember a bunch of people were Vivek or bust for President Trump's VP pick. That happened. Two years in a row he had a crash out at Christmas time. In 2024, he was arguing in favor of the HB-1 visas. Please write this down. It’s not what you argue, it’s how you argue it. He had a point but people weren’t going to listen to it from him and his delivery was horrible. Boys meet the world? Instead of taking criticism he doubled down and lashed out. But we aren’t the left we don’t toss people out of the party for one disagreement. In 2025, it was worse, he said something that every politician should avoid. What is an American? That is a no-win argument. Again he crashed out when people didn’t agree with him. When running for Governor he says we have to tone down the cultural war stuff. What? That is the complete opposite of what he ran on in 2024. This year he quit Social Media. Most politicians don’t use social media themselves. They have a team. Regardless it shows the trolls got to him and he shouldn’t have announced that publicly. In fact, he scolded someone for quitting social media then he did it to. He believes the conversations that are happening on social media are happening in real life. It isn't. Not even close. He will easily win the primary, his opponent Pusch is such a clown. His running mate is good. Heather Hill would come in 2nd place. Someone else such as Warren Davidson should have run. The problem is his Democrat opponent Amy Action was a tyrant during COVID. She was responsible for the lockdowns. So when we get another pandemic in 5 years she will be the worst and there goes redistricting if she wins. The major worry I have is that people won’t turn out and vote for him in November. People aren’t motivated to vote for him. Another concern is that Christians won’t vote for him. Here is my prediction if he became Governor I think he would leave in 2 years or not run for reelection. If he becomes Governor he would prove the critics wrong or prove them right. As I said earlier I think he ran for the wrong race in the wrong state but he is better than Amy Action. If you live in Ohio what do you think?

@TheCalvinCooli1 I think @VivekGRamaswamy's chasing after the love of union bosses is a major tell. Yes, enacting a Right to Work law in Ohio is extremely difficult. However, he can do a lot otherwise to weaken the power of union bosses. But will he? When he craves their support?

Uncomfortable truth for my opponent: you can’t complain about inequity while enacting policies that create that inequity. The public school closures were unforgivable & we’re still suffering the consequences today.

I refuse to tolerate this kind of waste, fraud, & abuse in Medicaid. We’ll prosecute aggressively & put the money back in the pockets of law-abiding Ohioans. The dollar amount will be far greater than most people expect.

God forbid we stop the White House from driving up gas prices, bombing elementary schools, and prosecuting people over pictures of seashells. Because Susan Collins sure as shit isn't.
RNC Research@RNCResearch

Maine Democrat Senate Candidate Graham Platner says he would "shut down the White House" by subpoenaing every single admin official everyday if Democrats gain power. Democrats don't have any plans to help the American people, they only want to stop President Trump.

What is the upshot of the Platner tattoo discourse? Let's say I find his story fishy. I'm supposed to worry that this seemingly left-wing guy supported by all the left-wing people is secretly a Nazi just pretending to be a progressive populist?

Graham Platner isn’t just our best and only chance to beat Susan Collins, he’s a good, decent man who’s struggled and grown and is always trying to do better. I hope everyone with reservations takes a little time to get to know the real life version of him, not what the algorithm throws in our faces. Clearly, that’s what so many people in Maine have done - from all different walks of life and political persuasions.

So if Jimmy Kimmel starts sniffling on air about his son’s life-threatening condition, is it fair game for another comedian to joke that he should be excited to finally turn the kid’s room into a man cave? After all, it’s just a joke.

@JudgeBobOrr Your honor, propose a constitutional amendment that would allow what the Supreme Court says violates the current text. Grok says you have to repeal or subordinate the Equal Protection clause. Let's see *your* amendment.

I believe the original intent was the protection of the civil rights of newly freed African American slaves. That intent has been steadily eroded for years by courts and legislative bodies. Shouldn't the Originalists on SCOTUS interpret the 14th Amendment as originally intended?
Andy Jackson@andyinrok

@JudgeBobOrr @LarrySabato @TimBoyumTV The Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment prevents states from using race as the predominant factor when drawing districts (see Shaw v. Hunt and Cooper v. Harris). The 14th Amendment does not mention party. I would like partisan data banned from redistricting(link below)

@depression2019 Since it is not a realistic scenario, I wonder if lots of people are voting, *not* on the stated scenario, but on what this seems a stand-in for, and that's not immediately obvious. People voted for a more generous approach.
