The biggest takeaway from this Oilers game against the corpse of the Vancouver Canucks is that Josh Samanski is going to give the Oilers coaching staff a lot of flexibility to play two of 29,97 and 93 together.

All 16 playoff spots are secured as LA beats SEA and NSH loses to SJS. Now just positioning remains for Pacific division spots and final WC. VGK 93 ( lead 6-2 late so I gave them 93). EDM 91 ANA 90 LAK 89 ANA and LAK have two games remaining while VGK and EDM have one.

Howard impressed. 2nd in ixG at 5v5, 3 shots, I liked his game offensively and he was responsible defensively. Only played 10 min tonight but thats expected.

I've liked the way they played in all zones for most of that stretch. Missing some finishers for sure. I think their all around game has been in good shape. If they fall outside a home playoff spot, this isn't the stretch to blame. (I know that's not what Reid is suggesting).

It’s all coming together. This team, if healthy, will take it up levels in the playoffs - we’ve seen it before and we will see it again.

Slot shot count Edm: 12 LA: 8 An underwhelming and incredibly poorly officiated game. Space wasnt there cause holds, interferences, hooks and more were plentiful. Edm moves onto the next game. Not much I want to add for this one.
