Whoa @webflow design / css work, just lost 2 hours worth of work, it's like Webflow just deleted some CSS I was working on in the last 2 hours (styling and formatting)... super frustrating, how did it do that?

As you gain experience in your design career, you’ll get jaded, it’s part of it - these companies will suck the life out of you, you’ll get more concerned about equity vesting than high-quality, craft design, but will somehow convince yourself that you aren’t, and that makes total sense. You’re at a stage in your life where you have different values. But please, please remember! you stepped foot into this industry because you had a love to create and make things from nothing. Zero to one. That’s the game, baby. Stick to it.

@danmall That being said, if a price comes in too cheap... I start to question the competency of an outfit as well. Exceptions would be someone really good but just starting a business : ) - I've successfully hired this way too (renovation / construction wise)

@danmall From the other side, I've been interviewing / getting bids from plumbers for a nice sized project. Though price is absolutely a factor, what impresses me is who is authentic (aka honest) ... knowledgable and actively listening. Thats my bar for hiring!

Don’t second-guess that quote you’re about to send just because you think it’s too high. What matters is what your prospect thinks. Watch this before you price yourself too low.

Tools don't matter. What you do with them matters. Do you use Webflow or Framer? Doesn't matter. Did you use Figma, Sketch, Photoshop? Doesn't matter. Did you use Premiere or Final Cut? Doesn't matter. Did you use a Mac or PC? Doesn't matter. Is the work good? Matters.

Going to see if we can make a stand alone GPT that makes design systems : ) - let's see what happens.
