Yesterday was Rufus' birthday party (his birthday being in a few weeks) and he and Henry had such a great time at our favourite play cafe. They went all out and made it such a great party, and of course, it had to be bluey themed!

@RadioX please wish all the Glasgow Kiltwalk participants good luck for today and tomorrow. I'm doing the big stroll today 14.4 miles. Not the best of weather. Fern in Glasgow.

@currys I went into the Hamilton Palace Grounds store today. 4-5 staff standing at front of store yapping. No one bothered attending to me whilst I was actively looking at the washer dryers upstairs. Walked out and will take my business to a store that will attend to me.

@JakubZN @doctor_oxford I want to have the choice. I don't want to be a burden. The NHS is on its knees. Palliative care is not available to everyone. It should be but it's not. Effective pain relief is not available to everyone no matter that it should be. It's the reality.

@fur_khanda @doctor_oxford Well, being referred to euthanasia service wouldn't be quite ideal in your case, would it? I am only trying to say it must not be a choice between pain and death in 21st century in a developed country.

Important corrective to the distorted narrative being pushed by Prue Leith et al that dying in Britain is a binary choice between 'unbearable pain' & assisted dying. The vast majority of deaths I see are simply not like this. If you have a terminal illness, please know this.

@doctor_oxford Thank you Rachel for writing this . In all my 41 years as a GP, I’ve never seen a patient that palliative care can’t help. But instead of being offered palliative care as a right for the terminally ill/ dying @kimleadbeater s bill offers assisted dying/ euthanasia instead. Why?

@JakubZN @doctor_oxford In an ideal world pain shouldn't be happening but we don't live in an ideal world. A referral to a pain clinic years ago resulted in the Consultant telling me we wouldn't be discussing my pain meds/side effects but my lack of motivation!!

@fur_khanda @doctor_oxford Sure, although such situations will be rare if ever. Maybe a pain specialist could comment. Sure this could be a factor if pain is absolutely untrollable but my point is that shouldn't be happening if possible. Pain should be treated for everyone. Choice pain or AD is no choice.

@leicesterliz Occupational Health say I'm doing all I can, you'll accept it rather than ignore them? You're happy for me to come to work high on morphine? You'll fit work round my illness? If so...sign me up now!!

@leicesterliz Great!! So I get time off for gp & hospital appts? A written warning won't be given after 2 bouts of sickness absence? Termination on the 3rd? You won't put stress on me for 6 maths to improve my sickness absence as stress is a major trigger for my hereditary condition? Even if
