@teslascope @Tesla What’s stopping them from adding the new park viz for all AMD vehicles instead of limiting it to new 3/Y? I understand intel, but shouldn’t all AMD Ryzen cars be compatible?

@HerrLinder @koby_pierce @spleck @EvDriver2016 @jchybow Looks like they changed the bank size a bit with the .1 bug fix release. The switch from your “Bank A” to “Bank B” flip is further evidence that they added/changed something. The trip weight is the same though! It’s interesting to see that some are on opposite banks though!

THIS IS THE BIGGEST HW3 update we’ve had in MONTHS. 2026.8.6 is not one build. From what I’ve seen across multiple cars, there appear to be 3 variants: 2026.8.6-A, B, and C. My car is on A, and it feels significantly improved. I’m doing 10+ hours of testing tomorrow to learn more. Here are a few confirmed changes: - Reduced Vision Monitoring (seen in A, B, and C) - Improvements to lane selection (A) - Overall smoothness improvement (A) - Roughly 15 to 25% latency reduction (A) - Matches Tentacle Speed to AI4 (the future prediction blue line is smoother and reacts faster, seems to be on A, potentially C as well) - MAJORLY improved “off-road” performance (more confident starting on rock or grass and finding the road without accelerator presses) - Obstacle avoidance improvements Let me know if any of you experience these as well, and check your service mode for your Bank A, B, Trip Weights and AP weights, make sure to leave them in your comment. #2026.8.6 #HW3 #FSD

@JonBbC_TechGeek FSD is quite different in several unique ways with this update. I’m so curious as to why it has to be “quietly” though 🤔.

BREAKING: Tesla is quietly updating FSD on HW3 cars. Many owners have taken note, claiming notable driving behavior differences on 2026.8.6.

@PawelMadej6 If you are referring to the “green dot”, it still shows, but they moved it to the far right on the screen in the UI (next to the passenger airbag symbol).

@teslascope I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with driver monitoring. The green door never shows up at all right now on this update.

We’ve observed a majority of Tesla vehicles with 2026.8.6 pending (whether awaiting install or download) have had the update pulled from their vehicles worldwide. This also impacted our own vehicle. No official insight into the decision at this time can be provided.

@teslascope I really hope they don’t make the AMS more strict again. It’s currently in the perfect sweet spot with 2026.8.6 on my HW3 car IMO. Could it be that they realized they went too lenient with it with this update?

@CaptRedRoach I notice this too. They tweaked the trip weights again and also moved back to bank B being used from Bank A. They only switch it when they release any change to the NN. Not sure what they are doing this for when v14 lite should be the focus next for HW3

Noticing some “wagging” in the lane on HW3 FSD after the latest update. V14 lite can’t come soon enough!

I can only hope these changes are related to a new fsd update coming soon 🤞. Some changes I know are do to regulator requirements, but one can hope for v14 lite soon 😅

Had 2026.8.6 for a couple of days FSD: 1. New FSD UI/message changes. 2. Seems to “ping pong”/hug one side of the lane more 3. Got “camera visibility error” with live preview image for the first time. New for HW3?? 4. Changes in Trip Weights/Banks Have you notice other changes?

@elonmusk We see a lot of consumers who are disappointed with HW3 and more recently with the FSD Transfer deadline being switched from order by to delivery by. We think correcting this or giving an update on HW3 would go a long way.

FSD 14.3 is in Tesla employee beta now and will probably go to wide release end of week

NEWS: Tesla has discontinued free FSD transfers in North America. This is the first time in a year that Tesla has not offered free FSD transfer in North America. Whether Tesla will bring it back at some point is TBD.

@j32pmxr @wholemars Mine seems way worse with nav, like choosing the wrong lanes, but other stuff seems “smarter” though. It now will proceed forward again on its own after a few seconds after trying to reverse (but it can’t yet). Before it would just get stuck forever like that.

@cringyEdgeLord @p1rate_chris Need more time to tell. About an hour of using FSD, hard to notice a difference if anything. They definitely tweaked something, but it’s such a small change that it might just be impossible to really know what that change is. I’ll report back if I notice anything obvious 🫡

@teslascope @greentheonly (HW3) looks like 2026.8.3 update switched the trip weights in service to bytes instead of showing 1.15gb it’s almost the same, but wanted to point out that difference. Shows they are doing something with it. 2026.8 had no change, so this is new with .3
