What is ‘back of national ID’ @Apple, this? I am a British citizen — I have a UK passport — why can’t I use it for this upgrade for UK customers? Or do we have to wait for @leicesterliz to introduce digital ID to be unlocked from websites? Is this — a buggy update not even flagged in the detailed release notes that nobody reads — what we should now: buggy digital authoritarianism by secret after back room desks with dodgy @SciTechgovuk baureocrats after moralistic nudge campaigns to get people to believe you are doing this to protect child safety, when the evidence shows the exact opposite. I have often thought of giving up Apple - but I think this may be the last straw.

The Intelligent @OctopusEnergy Go tariff is great and we were all happy to keep our 7p rate BUT.. You can still get (for now) the February version of the IOG tariff FIXED. 7.5p v 7p means about 40p per full charge extra if that. Filling my home a treat a smidge more but we are coming into summer. We will also get the reduction on 1st April so the day rate won't look at bad. I can't see the IOG staying around as is for long FLUX has already on its way to being updated. Even if you already have a fixed if it's only for a few months left i'd still consider it as its summer coming up.

Bet you've never spotted airstairs on an A320... unlike Ryanair's B737s where it's basically standard gear! ✈️ While Boeing offers built-in airstairs as a factory option on the 737 (Ryanair loves em for speedy boarding without jet bridges or mobile stairs), Airbus A320s rarely have them. The A320's higher ground clearance makes integrated stairs longer and heavier, so most operators stick with external ones. Only a few early commercial setups or special variants (like military/corporate) use 'em. cool rarity... shows how design choices shape ops, but 737 wins for efficiency here. Seen an A320 with airstairs ?

Every now and then we have to do a period of reserve. This is a block of ten days where we are available at short notice to cover the unexpected or illness of another pilot. Yesterday I was called out to fly to @PHXSkyHarbor Phoenix where we had some lovely views over The Rockies. But can you spot anything slightly unusual from one of the photos? 😉🤨

A heated discussion occurred between an Omani air traffic controller and a Turkish Airlines pilot over the altitude for lighter holding approaches to Muscat Airport using ILS guidance. The controller instructed the aircraft to descend to 2,200 feet, but the pilot refused, stating that company charts specified a minimum safe altitude of 3,600 feet.
