both parties are not identical. They just share the same addiction. More power. More spending. More control. More enemies to blame. One side sells it as compassion. The other sells it as security. Either way, the machine keeps growing. But u keep voting however you are voting and nothing will change

I think MAGA has severe George Floyd Derangement Syndrome. They simply cannot accept the fact that a rogue cop killed a black man on camera in front of the world. 6 years later and they are still pushing disproven conspiracies.

One of the most astounding things about the MAGA phenomenon is that after all these years they still think accusing people of having "TDS" is somehow clever or intelligent.

In 1998, the United States achieved its first federal budget surplus in 29 years, effectively ending a streak of deficits that had lasted since 1969. This milestone was achieved under President Bill Clinton, following the passage of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, which resulted in a fiscal surplus of approximately $69 billion for that year.

Both sides have voted for flawed candidates. Democrats backed Biden despite the family influence-peddling allegations and obvious decline, plus Hillary with her server and FBI issues. The real difference is Republicans view the Trump cases as lawfare, novel legal theories, election-timed prosecutions, and charges that many legal observers called weak or political. They judge by results on borders, economy, energy, and avoiding new wars. Pretending only the right tolerates "criminals" while ignoring your side's baggage is just selective outrage.

You know the difference between how Republicans vote and the way Democrats vote? Democrats are looking to vote for the perfect candidate. The Republicans are looking to vote for whoever their candidate is.

@techmudder @RossKneeDeep Big difference is the right doesn't care if its candidates are criminals, or even worse. They'll still vote for them.

That's the cute narrative, but Democrats vote for whoever the DNC, media, and donors anoint, even a visibly declining Biden in 2020 or a Harris swap with zero primary votes in 2024. Republicans actually primary the hell out of their candidates, then back the one who fights the machine and delivers results instead of "perfect" empty suits who sell out the base. The real difference? One side demands ideological purity and then demands blind loyalty anyway. The other side rewards winners who keep promises.

The 1950's show Adventures of Superman predominantly has Superman dealing with what today would be fairly menial crimes. He mostly deals with low level gangsters. You'd never see that today.

@SonRanto Presumably they were all aligned with Colberts mindset/ politics. So I wish everyone good luck in their future pursuits. And maybe a few moments to reflect that it might not be trump that is weak minded , petty , and feeble. Might be the jackass they hitched their wagons to

Trump not only put Colbert out of work. He put the crew, the band, the costume and makeup, the security, the writers, the accounting and hr staff, and the lives of everyone who depended on that income to feed their families out of work. Trump is a weak minded, petty, and feeble destroyer.
