@J_torres1212 @NationMffl Unfortunately he is incapable of not doing “the most”. He def hits shots.. at a 37% clip. He distributed the ball and averaged 3 assists last year.. with two turnovers as well. Hardest pass in the history of passes.

@NationMffl I’ll take it to tbh. Poole still can shoot at the end of the day we don’t need him to do the most, just hit his shots & distribute the ball.

@SMHighlights1 I can all but assure you Masai and the Mavs new GM wouldn’t touch Poole with a 10ft pole.

@NationMffl Have full faith in Tarik. With Christie, Sasser, Larry and Klay still on the main roster I’m okay if they let him go to keep Sved closer to the team.

@yardestyle Klay would still create a roster spot. He wanted a guaranteed non two-way contract. He was with the Mavs in SL last week and is close with Coop. He used NY as leverage, he knew Mavs would match. Posted on IG that night and seems happy to be in the fold. Congrats on chip and GL.

@geek_fin Klay doesn’t play a position that Cisse can play. We will see how it plays out. I feel badly for the young man as he signed w/the Knicks instead of going to the Mav and making a deal to stay w/ that team. He wanted a change. Hope he gets a chance to play and develop here

Dallas matching the Knicks for Cisse is pure comedy. Traded a 1st for Gafford and gave him $54M, drafted Morez at #9, traded for 7ft Aldama. Cisse is a 4th-string center on this roster. Now they have to cut a guaranteed deal just to let him ride the bench. Make it make sense. 😂

@yardestyle Lively is coming off of the most mismanaged injury in the modern NBA. At public event last week he looked like he could barely walk. I’m sure extreme caution will be exercised. At least one of PJ/Klay/Gaff will likely be moved, which will create minutes.

@geek_fin With pj Washington firmly at the 4, and Flagg occasionally playing the 4, wouldn’t you expect Adams and Morez to get significant minutes at the 5? Is Lively coming off serious injury? You don’t expect him back?

@MichaelSalfino He’s not getting waived. The Mavs will likely make additional moves that could create a roster spot with their forward logjam. Could be Klay, PJ or Gaff. Worst case scenario they’ll just dump/waive somebody like Caleb Martin. Cisse is here to stay.

@Fullcourtpass @TheSteinLine Really don’t understand why everybody is trying to trade him with the current Lively situation being what it is… last year wasn’t his best, but he’s played 55+ games a year. Lively has played 55, 36 and 7..

@KevinGraySports Why not? Potentially gives you added flexibility to move somebody like PJ. Young guy, low risk and good upside, #1 pick and 21 y/o. Masai values size, Nemby prob not a long term rotation fit. Risa could be a long term rotation guy/maybe a starter? Sergio made nemby expendable.

@TheDallasNation I mean if it was actual money like $10m/yr I see the point but for a 2 year minimum? Take the known commodity. Make cuts at training camp. Don’t lose the asset for nothing, chances are he far outplays it.

@OnyxOdds The question is who’s 2nd bc nobody holds a candle to Dirk’s. I don’t get the Knicks. Improbable and Cinderella-ish, sure. But the mediocre Hawks, a way messed up Sixers team, a Cavs team with Harden and a Spurs team in their first playoff run.. why’s this on the list?

@_Castlerock_ @dirtcheapbanks It’s hard. We’d been running at 5%+ NIM right now but we are def out of the normal box. Things slowing down lately has squeezed us to the 4.9%s.

@geek_fin @dirtcheapbanks I know the numbers. That was my point. Example GLBZ portfolio with 40% 1-4 family loans is not yielding 7%. They have also have one of the best deposit bases and it is not 0.5% it’s 1.28%. My comment was in jest. To answer it you have to admit banks aren’t earning a 6.5% spread.

American banks are running the greatest legal arbitrage in history. They borrow your money at 0.5%. They lend it back to you at 7%. The spread is their business model. You are simultaneously their cheapest supplier and their most profitable customer. You’re not a depositor. You’re inventory.

@_Castlerock_ @dirtcheapbanks If a $1B bank has 30% true liquidity, they have $300m probably yielding at or near fed funds rate. $300m yielding under 4% heavily affects overall NIM.

@_Castlerock_ @dirtcheapbanks Most banks cost of funds are higher.. we’re in the low 2% range overall right now. Most bank also have a lot of loans under 7%.. and not all of their $ is lent out at that rate. A lot of banks have 10-30%+ of their assets invested in lower risk, lower yield investments or cash

I strongly support President Trump taking action to prevent illegal migrants from accessing our banking system. I sent a letter to @SecScottBessent asking for an investigation into this matter, and will be introducing legislation on this issue shortly.

NEW: The Trump administration is weighing a possible executive order or other action that would require banks to collect citizenship information from customers, a new front in the administration’s crackdown on immigrants living in the U.S. illegally.
