I got annoyed enough at 7tv letting users give emotes stupid names that are just normal words that I wrote a little FrankerFaceZ add-on to filter them out. It includes a list of common English words, and lets you add custom words. It's client-side only, but it's something.

Trying to set up an Aqara switch on Tyler’s bedside so it automatically shuts off every light in the house if I fall asleep before him (since he’s been up playing chess he keeps the lights on). Also plan to sync lights to my fire wall tablet. I use the homeautomation sub a lot but didn’t see much on this issue. I’ll probably end up switching all the light switches myself to Casetas but I’ll wait till Black Friday and pray for some sales on Hue lights (I’m dreaming) 🥱

For anyone who is into home automation, is there a way I could make my recessed ceiling lights smart? For ex: I want to be able to control them from a hub or app on phone. Would I be required to replace every single recessed light or could I program the lights to a smart switch?

@sebmarkbage That’s why I love Valetudo open source and cloud free. The Interface is just a website that is amazingly well done. It even supports some unique quirks and features of some models. I have rarely seen such a mature open source software. valetudo.cloud

Siri ist trash aber Apple ist durchaus in AI fähig - nennt es nur nicht so. Probier in der neuen iOS Version mal die „eigene Stimme“ aus. Ziemlich freaky. Zu tippst etwas - es spricht es aus in deiner eigenen Stimme. Positionieren es als Accessibility Feature. Anyway: Siri muss besser werden .

Aufgrund aktueller Entwicklungen würde ich mich als $AAPL Aktionär fragen, wie dort der Stand der KI Forschung ist angesichts der Tatsache, dass Siri nach 12 Jahren immer noch ein absolutes Müllprodukt ist.
