This is an AMAZING change in terms of the %'s. If you haven't read through - you're rewarded for your seasonal VRS standing with all of the sticker rev until the major itself. Then you're rewarded for your actual major placement post major. This fixes SO MANY incentives!

#CAC2026 will take place in Shanghai, China from May 20–24! 16 top teams from around the world will compete for a $1,000,000 total prize pool and the championship title! Playing a CAC qualifier where there's only two teams that are supposed to be anywhere close to you on paper is ambitious? Wow I didn't realize that. You've played a grand total of 5 events going into the major ranking cutoff period including 2 qualifiers - only one of which is European. Forget playing European CS you guys don't even play domestic CS at this point. If you're NOT protecting your VRS, NOT playing domestic CS, NOT playing European CS then what is going on??? At least protecting VRS is a strategic decision you can claim to fans for the organization's health.

@ggTeaTime So when we tried to be ambitious and play CAC qual instead of playing lan defrag we were somehow protecting our VRS?

The result of poor management decisions and always banking on maintaining VRS points rather than actually trying to build yourself up as a team. I have had exact conversations with people saying "but they'll make the major so why care" for a year now. Thats how you fail.

Elsewhere at ACL 2026, we just had JiJieHao utterly disintegrate TYLOO inc. a 13-2 on their pick of Inferno. @CacaNitooo (2.00) and @m1N1_cs (2.32) took turns mauling TYLOO who drop to the lower bracket. JJH one game away from the grand final!

@ynoTCS2 My input is to actively hate. This team got the best performing Aussie lineup we've had in years with their last quarter of 2024 and has made terrible decisions constantly. At some point you just hate.

I appreciate any and all input on this by the way, just want to understand, not actively hating at all

@TempoZP @Elfishguy Its always the lack of transparency and feedback that gets you honestly. Even with organisers I have had a working relationship with for ten years now I have never received functional feedback despite repeated requests for it.

@Elfishguy It's mostly a two fold problem. Very few spots for full time talent, relative to the quantity of talent. Very little transparency / feedback in hiring processes. If you aren't someone with rock solid fan base, a single talent manager can make or break you in many games.

Rough to consider, but life as esports talent is never 'easy'. As each new year rolls around you wonder if you'll acquire enough work to maintain your career. Heccu's situation is one that most talent can empathise with. Sometimes you just never know why you didn't get the gig.

@rogueonomist What efforts can the State Bank make to replace car needs by comparison Ammar? Is there a way the SBP can heavily incentivize bigger investment into public transport/pedestrian behavior etc?

This is how it pans out. If SBP increases the loan limit on cars, in-line with historic levels, then there would be a sudden surge in demand of these cars (which are predominantly imported - even locally assembled have 85% import content). So as demand increases, we import more cars. As we import more cars, we need more $$$, but we suck at earning $$$ to pay for this -- so we borrow some $$$. This goes for a few months, till we start running out of $$$ -- eventually leading to depreciation of PKR Congratulations - you trigerred yet another avoidable currency crisis by importing more cars. As PKR depreciates, everything starts getting expensive, and we get into yet another spiral of inflation All respect to @StateBank_Pak for holding the fort, and not giving into WhatsApp forwards, and not giving into loser demands of various industry associations.
