After over 12 years, I announced my resignation from @WestJet to pursue new opportunities. I will be with the company until January 24th. This is a difficult decision given my passion and dedication to the work. WestJet has been an incredible professional experience for which I am deeply grateful for. In the GR/PR space I am not sure there could be a more challenging and fulfilling experience. Being an ambassador for our employees, partners and communities who rely us has been a privilege. Whether is was the dark days of Covid-19 or rolling out our growth strategy in key markets or promoting WestJet and Canada globally it has been one incredible ride. I have worked with the best people across Canada through thick and thin and am so lucky to have been able to cultivate a national network of friends and associates. From policy advocacy to partnership development to managing crises it has been an incredible ride. I’m grateful to have been able to do this work for so long and with such great colleagues, stakeholders, friends and partners.

Got upgraded to first class for the first time on my flight to edmonton. Was handed this menu when i sat. Do i gotta pay for this? Can i get all of it? What are the rules here. What is canadian cake? Is airplane short rib edible? 1st class brings so many questions.

@peggy_blair our guests want choice and affordable options and this fare is an option not a policy. We have an obligation to meet affordability crisis and ensure travel is accessible. I hope you see our ambition for Canada in what we do.

Interesting. Decades ago Westjet's mission statement used to put passengers first, while Air Canada's was getting planes to fly on time. I wonder what Westjet's new mission statement is?

Just submitted a complaint about @WestJet to the Canadian Transportation Agency. There are currently more than 70,000 complaints about airlines ahead of me, and the expected wait time for my case to be reviewed is 18 months. So much for air passengers rights. @pablorodriguez
