@skalskip92 What's the end goal? If being market competitive, then probably ML/AI makes more sense, no? and that would include python anyway. you also don't need to go all-in, you can spend a couple of weeks on python, then switch to something else.

What’s your answer when someone asks whether learning Python in 2026 still makes sense?

One of the most magical classes in university should be the intro to computer architecture class You're literally learning how to imbue rocks with a spirit that lets them think Kinda crazy a lot of students can dread it (I did) because it seems so banal and technical

@hjwp Hi! I loved cosmic python:D regarding the tweet: I would rather read another book on how to do it properly, than yet another chapter (article/yt video) that leaves you with FOMO, because it left some important stuff to keep it simple

Strange how little this is talked about. You can literally get 300mbps internet from space. Just plug it in and it works 🤯

@JoseHaroPeralta what's your opinion on stylistic comments in PR when linter is applied and its pipeline is green? I find them too unnecessary, because when linter is happy then I am happy too, and I find such comments a waste of everyone's time, yet some seniors are still making them

A senior dev told me they don't like linters because nobody has to tell them how to style their code. But that's not the point of linters. The point is making code easier to review. Without linter, up to 70% of the changes in a PR are stylistic. It's annoying and distracting.

Whenever I get to know someone who seems perfect, I end up disappointed. Whenever I get to know someone who I think is the worst of the worst, I'm pleasantly surprised. Angels and demons aren't real.

@attilczuk recently a "ryan meetup" sticker went viral on reddit, maybe just make a shameless copy of it with crossed 'ryan' and instead of it add 'indie-hacker' and post it on couple of subreddits

This is where I’ve found chatgpt to struggle - I don’t have a way to trust it when it says something isn’t possible. Also, it seems biased towards hallucinating an answer vs saying something isn’t possible. It’s easy to verify when something does work but it’s much harder to verify that something isn’t possible. Still amazing though.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to navigate to a specific notebook cell in VSCode with the vscode api? I’m making a small extension that navigates from code to notebook. I can navigate to the notebook but can’t seem to find something to bring a cell into focus

Programming-related books I found helpful for thinking architecturally: Code Complete The Pragmatic Programmer Continuous Delivery The DevOps Handbook Head First Design Patterns And my favorite software architecture blog: martinfowler.com
Cory House@housecor

You don’t need an architect. But you do need at least one person who thinks architecturally. Common titles: Team lead Senior Dev Architect Principal But, title isn't important. What's important: At least one person should be responsible for the long-term, and the big picture.

I just visited an exposition on ancient Egypt in @MNwLublinie. I loved how the whole place was crawling with cute clay scarabs 🪲 A few kids were with us on the tour. When we got to the pyramids the guide started explaining how we used to think 1/2

• You'll spend more time in life NOT being a basketball player. How will you handle that? Where will your value come from? Can you find success off the court & provide for your family? Answering these questions determines how you handle your career both on & off the court.

Hydrating properly significantly improves mental & physical performance. This is not guesswork. The Galpin Equation = bodyweight in pounds divided by 30 = the number of ounces of water to ingest per 15 min of exertion. (On average, not necessarily on the 1/4 hour). @DrAndyGalpin
