Back today after being out of commission for a while. I lost my dad about 10 days ago. We were close. I knew the day would come, he was declining health-wise, but it didn't soften the blow. But he lived a full life and we spent good time together recently and that is comforting.

NEWS: U.S. insurer Lemonade has announced that it will offer a 50% rate cut for drivers of @Tesla vehicles when FSD is steering because it had data showing it reduced accidents. “A car that sees 360 degrees, never gets drowsy, and reacts in milliseconds can’t be compared to a human. Beyond the product announcement today, we’re also announcing our commitment to the Tesla community – the safer FSD software becomes, the more our prices will drop,” said Shai Wininger, co-founder and president at Lemonade.

The vitriol against buybacks is a mystery to me. Companies have a few options for deploying excess capital and buying back shares at a rational price is a reasonable way to return capital to shareholders.

These are the brakes off our 2021 Tesla Model X LR after 90K mi. Regenerative braking saves you a ton of money over the life of the vehicle. These will easily go for another 100K+ mi. An average brake job in a comparable vehicle to the X would cost ~$3,000 and last ~50K mi.
