Domestic Violence is a deadly pandemic in Wagga Wagga. Domestic and family violence (DFV) rates in Wagga Wagga are consistently high, remaining approximately 30 % higher than the NSW state average. Local authorities report that around half of all police callouts in the area are related to domestic violence, with regional women roughly 50 % more likely to experience domestic assault than the broader NSW average. Yet this clown thinks it's trans women and kids assaulting women.

The police should have a word with him before he starts policing toilets. As for Wagga - he's set it back a half century. I hope people from Wagga don't allow this guy to form squads to bash anyone. We had people mysteriously dying in the 80s because others could not accept their differences. Imagine being a trans kid in Wagga? At least all highschools would most likely have at least one or two figuring out their gender/sexuality. Trans kids are more likely to suffer child maltreatment than hetero children too. These people have no compassion are utterly disgraceful human beings. aihw.gov.au/family-domesti…(Salter%20et%20al.

Thoughts? Will this bring any votes into their tent, or not? In my view it will not, but am interested to hear what you think. #auspol
Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash@SenatorCash

STATEMENT BY @AngusTaylorMP Yesterday the Full Federal Court confirmed that Australian law does not properly protect single sex spaces for women and girls. Most Australians would find that hard to believe. A coalition government I lead will fix this. We will amend the Sex Discrimination Act to ensure that women and girls (and men and boys) have protections based on biological sex. We will define biological sex in the Act. Male or female. The sex you are born. And we will protect single-sex spaces across Australian life. This is not radical. It is common sense. Let me be clear about what this is not. This is not about targeting transgender Australians. Every protection they currently have remains. We are not removing a single protection from anyone. But we are recognising something that should never have been in doubt: biological sex is real, it matters, and women and girls deserve spaces where it is respected. This will be a first-term priority. The Prime Minister now has a simple question to answer. Does he believe women and girls deserve protections based on biological sex?

If this was the Jewish community we would have another Royal Commission. The hate on Australian conservative websites towards trans women is out of control. Politicians from the opposition parties are literally targeting transgender people, and trans women in particular. Sadly the government is allowing this public expression of hate towards the trans community to continue without challenge.

This Advance Australia post is exactly the problem. Advance Australia is on it. Pauline Hanson is on it. A transgender woman was discriminated against, and suddenly the political machine is pretending Australia has collapsed. Come on. We are talking about a tiny, marginalised group of people just trying to live their lives. Where is the great national emergency here? Women in Australia face real danger. Domestic violence. Intimate partner violence. Sexual assault. Coercive control. Harassment. The serious harm women face in this country is not being driven by transgender women. It is being driven by male violence. But that is a harder problem to face. So instead, the political machine finds a smaller, easier target and tells everyone to panic. That is not protecting women. That is scapegoating. This is how culture war works: find a rare, difficult case, strip out the human being, inflate it into a national emergency, then watch everyone fight. And of course, within five minutes, this gets dragged into the usual panic about toilets and public bathrooms. But honestly, if someone is spending their day wondering what is going on with the body of the person in the next toilet cubicle, I’m not sure they are defending women. I think they might just be the weirdest person in the bathroom. Debate the law if you want. But turning a tiny minority into a national punching bag is ugly politics. We can do better than this.

Women’s rights matter. So do the rights and dignity of transgender people. Pretending those two things are automatically in conflict is political fearmongering, not leadership. The Giggle v Tickle case was about whether anti-discrimination law applies to transgender Australians in public life and digital services. It was not a ruling that “abolished women’s spaces” or erased biological sex. The constant framing of trans people as predators or threats to women and children is not backed by evidence. Trans Australians are a tiny minority already facing disproportionate rates of harassment, violence and mental health struggles. They are not the reason housing is unaffordable, wages are stagnant, or public services are under pressure. And let’s be honest if One Nation genuinely cared about women’s safety, they’d spend more time talking about domestic violence, sexual assault, coercive control, childcare affordability and equal pay instead of obsessively targeting a vulnerable minority for clicks and outrage. You can support women’s sport, privacy and safety without turning transgender people into a political punching bag. Mature societies are capable of nuance. Screaming “radical ideology” every five minutes is not nuance. It’s culture war politics designed to divide Australians.

Recently at a children’s’ sporting event I entered the female toilet. A father was in there with his daughter. No issue!
Rskvozki 58@Barrafalcon

@PaulineHansonOz So a father taking his kids for a stroll at a shopping centre has to wait outside for his 8 year old daughter while she goes to the ladies toilet only to see an adult man dressed up as a woman walk straight into the ladies toilet. How would any parent feel? Federal court 🤔🤔🤔.

Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there. No poll today, but we do want to know which songs make you think of your mum, or if you are a mum, the songs that make you think of your kids. Hope you all have an outstanding day.

Excuse me @AlboMP ... why are women & their children living in tents in Australia? Do you even know a tiny baby has died in a tent in Wagga Wagga and their mum and sibling are in hospital? How the fuck do we not have enough housing for every Australian?
