Hillary Clinton beat Trump by 2.8M votes, but because of the electoral college Trump won. Abolish the damn electoral college - because the person with the most votes should win.

The nonprofit aligned with Hakeem Jefferies, House Majority Forward, spent almost $40,000,000 trying to egregiously gerrymander Virginia Congressional Districts into favoring Democrats 10-1, even though close to 47% of Virginia electorate is Republican. On election night, the “NO” side was winning until Fairfax County magically dropped 35,000 “YES”mail-in ballots, which put the Democrats over the top statewide and allowed them to barley win the Virginia Redistricting Referendum. Then, this past Friday, the Virginia Supreme Court voided the redistricting amendment and struck down the Democrats gerrymandered map because it violates the Virginia Constitution. Hakeem Jefferies is not taking the Virginia Supreme Court ruling very well because it is a major obstacle that stands in his way for becoming Speaker of House. Therefore, he wants to eliminate the Virginia Supreme Court justices by lowering their retirement age. The fact that he is willing to go to these extremes measures to obtain power and control is alarming. Hakeem Jefferies does not need to be anywhere near a position of power and control.

@cehoskinson I’ve made the exact same point/argument. If the election is a single day then votes cast before or received after that single day can’t count as they were not cast as part of the election.

Virginia Democrats are arguing that Election Day is a single day under federal law, and therefore SCOTUS should overturn the VA Supreme Court's ruling. If this is true, then early votes should not be counted in any state election in Virginia, because they were not cast pursuant to an election. You can't have it both ways, guys.

🚨 Virginia Democrats have asked the Supreme Court to allow the legislature’s proposed congressional map to be used in the 2026 elections after the Virginia Supreme Court struck down the constitutional amendment authorizing the redraw.

@VinceTaormina @briantylercohen You can’t be fucking serious. Dems just completely disregarded the VA Constitution in a gerrymandering attempt. When that got shut down by SCOVA their reaction is to attempt to force every justice to retire and replace them with partisan hacks. That is not playing by the rules

@briantylercohen Democrats like to play by the rules, even if the game is being rewritten right under their noses. That’s up-and-down the problem with current leadership: they’re too process oriented and think too much like lawyers

Why haven't we heard from a SINGLE Democratic state about steps they're taking to counteract the post-VRA GOP power grabs in Louisiana and Alabama and South Carolina and Tennessee and Texas and North Carolina and Missouri and Florida? Is every Democrat asleep at the wheel? Do you think this is going to fix itself? Why is it so fucking difficult for Democrats to fight back? If you're in power in NJ, NY, MD, CO, IL, WA, OR, wake the fuck up and announce steps to redraw the maps so that Democrats are not drawn out of power forever.

This is precisely what's wrong with Democrats. Every lie and distortion is intended to distract from getting their hats handed to them and the Virginia Supreme Court's clear message: stop trying to rig our elections. The radio host should not have used that language and I do not -and did not - condone it. It was obvious to anyone listening that I was agreeing Hakeem Jefferies should stay out of Virginia. Democrats are trying to destroy Virginia’s court because they disagree with it. THAT is the real danger to our country.

Very weird that cover page states "On Emergency Application to the Supreme Court of Virginia." That's the styling for a petition for a writ of certiorari, but it makes no sense to say that the emergency application is "to" the Supreme Court of Virginia.

@Angel80197423 @TeamKClark @JenKiggans We have to draw maps putting all blacks in the same district? Why don’t we just make them all ride in the same part of the bus (back)? Drawing congressional maps based on your skin color is racist. Why don’t Dems ever fight for Korean, Latino, or Indian majority districts?

RE: The Voting Rights Act Controversy As with everything, we are in an Information War with Democrats over the recent SCOTUS case, Louisiana v. Callais. Democrats are frantic to paint this anti-racist decision as being "racist." When debating them, an extremely effective information warfare tool is the use of this term: "Legislative apartheid." It means that Democrats want their black voters isolated in artificial districts, that way they can ignore the interests of those voters in all other districts. I highly encourage using this term whenever possible. For example: "Why do you support legislative apartheid?" It's a very effective tactic for two reasons: 1. It's true. 2. It reminds everyone of the horrific practice of apartheid, a loaded term that resonates strongly with any who hear it. Enjoy.

What we are witnessing in Virginia should concern every American who believes in constitutional government and the balance of powers our Founders fought to preserve. For years, many dismissed the progressive left’s promises to “fundamentally transform” America as little more than political rhetoric. But today, we are watching those ideas move from speeches into action as institutions, traditions, and long-standing checks on power are increasingly challenged in the pursuit of political advantage. The danger is not disagreement in politics. The danger comes when power becomes more important than principle and when Americans begin losing faith in the fairness of the very institutions meant to protect their liberty. But I still believe in this country. I still believe the American people are stronger than the fear, division, and political games that have consumed so much of our national conversation. That is why we cannot retreat. We cannot surrender our communities, our Commonwealth, or our future. We must meet this moment with courage, unity, common sense, and a renewed belief in the values that made this nation exceptional in the first place. My campaign is built on bringing people together, restoring trust in leadership, and fighting for everyday Virginians instead of political agendas. I fought for this country overseas, and I am prepared to continue fighting for it here at home because the stakes for Virginia—and for America—are simply too high not to. If you believe in fighting back against the radical progressive left, I ask you to join our campaign as we challenge them in their #VA08 stronghold. You can help in two ways: help spread our message by reposting our content and, if you are able, help amplify our message through a donation to our campaign. 🚨 JUST IN: Legal expert Jonathan Turley GOES OFF on Democrats for considering *firing* the entire Virginia Supreme Court to reinstate the 10D-1R gerrymander map "They will pack SCOTUS AS WELL if they take power!" "Hakeem Jeffries is very unpopular...but hopes to be the next Speaker. But to do that, he's got to engineer a MAJORITY." "He's watching that evaporate across the country!" "It captures the fact that now many on the left are saying that we will win by any means necessary." "The public needs to understand that many of these same voices have been saying publicly that they will pack the Supreme Court as well. As soon as they take power, many Democratic pundits and politicians have said that they want to pack the Supreme Court to create an instant liberal majority." "It's the same mindset of by any means necessary. No institution, no value is truly sacred." 🫳🏻🎤 @JonathanTurley @BillMelugin_

HAKEEM JEFFRIES IS AT WAR WITH THE CONSTITUTION If you listen to what Hakeem Jeffries is saying and watch what he is doing, he has every intention of destroying this Republic, including and especially the federal AND state judiciaries.  He's demanding that the courts deliver whatever his party demands and, in doing so, he is also trying to intimidate the justices of the Supreme Court.  He says, "everything is on the table."  Excuse me, but the Constitution belongs to all of us and is not on the table.  And we need to make plans to stop this madman should he become speaker.

This is a brazen assault on our democracy. In our nations 250th Anniversary, Democrats knowingly violate the Constitution, ram through deceptive ballot language to deceive and divide voters, then demand the Court not rule until after the vote. These hypocrites now pretend to defend democracy by removing lawfully appointed Supreme Court Justices because they blocked their illegal rewrite of the Constitution. They lie to Virginians while torching our checks and balances — all because their temporary majority hates the President. Our Founders are rolling in their graves. nytimes.com/2026/05/10/us/…

Dems in VA broke the law to try to change a fair 6-5 map into a 10-1 abomination. They got struck down by Dems on their own Supreme Court, and now they want to decapitate an entire branch of gov't over it? Insane. This must be what Hakeem Jeffries meant by "maximum warfare."

@ButtrmlkPncakes @Fritschner Not the same thing, I can cancel that order before the release date. I can also pre order it and go buy another one on the day it’s released. Good try though. Either the election starts when early voting starts or votes cast before or after that single day shouldn’t count.

I've read numerous versions of this take again over the last three days, so here it is for the people who for whatever reason simply refused to read the Chief Justice's dissent- the easy to understand, brief, plain reason why the Virginia Supreme Court's ruling is total nonsense:

I don't recall seeing any serious criticism of the Virginia supreme court's reasoning, just the flimflam claim that the court shouldn't have waited until after the vote to rule on the matter, as Virginia officials requested.
