National Links Trust says the Trump administration has terminated its lease to operate East Potomac, Langston, and Rock Creek Park. Years of federally compliant planning and public-focused stewardship are now gone, replaced by vague promises of something “world class.” No plan. No timeline. No guarantees on access or affordability. For now, the future of D.C.’s public golf courses is uncertainty. @links_national @fried_egg_golf @NoLayingUp @WashPost instagram.com/p/DS8AoKAlClV/…

We are devastated to report that the Trump administration is officially terminating our 50-year lease with the National Park Service to manage and renovate the three courses. The termination is effective immediately.  Read more: washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/12…

If you quit your job, gave up all other obligations in life, took unlimited swing lessons, and practiced / played golf for a minimum of 40 hours a week, do you think you could become a scratch golfer within a year?

@THPGolf We will if we want to have all the best players available. I don’t know how to exactly evaluate them, but Bryson is one of the best USA players no doubt

I don’t know how anyone lives or works on a course in Phoenix…it’s 112° there today. Barley and I (and our poa and bentgrass) are barely surviving the 102° heat today in Sedona🥵🌱

Here is what my swing is currently looking like. Be gentle! 😂 There are still a lot of things I need to work on and clean up, but I am happy with the progress. What has been helpful is to play around with some EXTREME feels. That more than anything is helping me to achieve the changes I am after. It’s important to note that my extreme feel is likely very different from yours. We are all unique. This is a 7 iron. My typical swing speed with 7 iron is 89-91 mph. What’s interesting is that with some of the changes I have made, it feels like I am swinging at 90%, but the club is still traveling at 89’ish mph. I had a home grown “twitchy” swing from the time I started playing. Didn’t have my first lesson for probably 10+ years. That was a giant mistake. Get lessons early, and often. And keep getting them. While I am making some great strides in the changes I want to make, I can’t find the center of the face right now to save my life. I know that will change, but it’s so hard not to drift back to the move that is “comfortable”. The move that does a decent job at finding the center of the face. This is going to be a process that will pay off in the long term. I just need to keep working.

One "accident" changed golf forever... In 1995, a casual lunchroom conversation at Titleist sparked a question that would revolutionize golf: "What if we put a urethane cover on a Pinnacle Gold?" Five years later, the Pro V1 was born. (🧵🧵🧵)

As an athletic director who doubles as a basketball official, I have decided to take an educational approach this winter. I’m attaching a commonly misunderstood rules of b-ball sheet to our programs in hopes that fans won’t blurt out “rules” about b-ball that aren’t accurate! 😁

@beav_scott We have to realize that we already have a shortage of officials. This kind of behavior and anger/criticism is going to make it tougher to want to be a referee

Just spent a month in Kansas City. The 3 weirdest things: 1) Everyone is super nice—almost to the point of feeling off. Example: I'm in a gas station on the wrong side of town. Another customer who is 6'6", 250 lbs, and has face tattoos walks over and says, "Hi sir, they have a sale on Gatorade you might want to check out." 2) Nobody has a favorite BBQ place. They like them all equally but have favorite items at each one. "Oh, I like the fries at KC Joe's and the brisket at..." 3) Everyone dresses like a tourist. Go out on a random Tuesday, and everyone will have a "Kansas City" t-shirt on it. Entire stores are devoted to city merchandise. It's nuts. Overall, great place. What did I miss?
