@hecubian_devil Police departments and prisons in the US are beyond reform and the currently existing ones need to be abolished. The systemic problems are so overwhelming that abolishing current police department and prisons is the necessary for any sort of real criminal justice reform.

It's wild how leftists will accuse others of spreading misinformation, and then in the same breath come with these incorrect claims themselves. London is not "much safer than any city in the United States." She is likely thinking of homicide, which is indeed lower in London than in any large US city. But murder is rare, and rarer still for anyone not caught up in crime. Being a victim of street robbery is far more common, and London's rate is about double New York's and nearly twelve times that in Virginia Beach. And London's recorded rape and serious assault rates are not low by American standards either.

The idea that this bill is “combining the militaries” is false— what it does is establish the level of defense tech research cooperation with Israel that the US already has with NATO via DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic). Ironically the leftists don’t care about that because they all support Ukraine & NATO anyway— Israel is just more socially acceptable to criticize— the end result of this will be “Trump & Netanyahu bad” followed by a more NATObama collaboration of all the same institutional forces. The NDAA bill is just “we print more money for defense contractors.” Not just in US or Europe, but Israel too. Nothing is changing fundamentally— it’s just another spending bill.
