"ADL tracks real Jew-hatred: 9,354 incidents in 2024, 893% surge post-Oct 7 with assaults spiking. Not 'Zionist propaganda'—your cope. Meanwhile, Hamas/UNRWA terror funds flood Gaza schools with jihad textbooks, martyrdom math, teachers cheering Oct 7. That's indoctrinating kids to kill Jews, not 'criticizing a nation-state.' Your whataboutism excuses the hate pipeline while ignoring Muslim-on-Muslim body counts. "

A sitting member of Congress is publicly joking about a terrorist plot targeting an American citizen, all in pursuit of defending Israel and its thugs. The fact that an elected official would respond this way to an attempted attack on my life should alarm everyone.

Walk the streets of Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Bushwick, Ridgewood, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights. Find a baseball fan who moved to NYC as an adult. Vast majority are Mets fans.
Sam Adler-Bell@SamAdlerBell

It used to be the Mets were dismissed as the schlubbly, uncouth, outer borough white-ethnic team, but Yankees fans, ever unsatisfied, bc of their own insecurities, had to figure out some new way to insist on their superiority, so they all started repeating this lazy bs

If "Jewish behavior" caused the 300-900% spike in US antisemitic incidents (ADL: 8,873 in 2023, 9,354 in 2024, over 10,000 post-Oct 7 with record assaults/vandalism), explain the silence on Muslim-on-Muslim slaughters: Sudan (RSF/Janjaweed ethnic cleansing—tens to 400k dead, 12M displaced, famine, mass rapes, UN "genocide" hallmarks); Yemen (Houthi war—hundreds of thousands dead, millions starving); Syria (Assad killed hundreds of thousands of Sunnis with chemicals/barrel bombs). Selective outrage: Jewish self-defense = hysteria; Muslim body counts = crickets. It's not about civilians—it's about the defender.

@DGreenbaum @NerdeenKiswani Personally I wouldn’t sell violently stolen land and property at my place of worship if I did not want protests outside. But surely you understand this

@NerdeenKiswani You should ask yourself why protesting for Palestine seems predicating on harassing Jews at their place of worship. Why can’t you go exercise your right to free speech somewhere else?

Mamdani must veto the protest buffer zone or cement himself as one of the worst NYC mayors on free speech. If he lets this pass, he is choosing repression. This will be used to criminalize Palestinian protest.
Jacob N. Kornbluh@jacobkornbluh

🚨 Breaking: The NYC Council voted to pass the synagogue protection bill with a veto-proof majority of 44 of 51 members. The bill to create a buffer zone for protests outside educational centers also passed, but only by a 30–19 margin — Mamdani could veto it if he chooses.

@goodtakesLLC Aha. You're presumptive about the whole "never has and never will" thing. That's a maybe. My company ran the website for a large project he wanted to, but was not allowed to, invest in. he is not THAT powerful. I do believe his work takes him out of "evil billionaire" status

I actually had a conversation about the Jay Z / billionaire thing years ago in London, and why he resists understanding the idea that billionaires are bad. It comes from a reality that you learn growing up poor, when you have no money. You learn that, here, money is selfhood.

@jmo_mx @xXshaurizardXx @bryancsk Again, this is the point. This administration has already shown that it’s not a city of New York thing, it’s an apathetic, lazy politician thing

@xXshaurizardXx @bryancsk i mean the city of new york is an exception to this as they really do need someone like mckinsey to come in tell them what to do or they just waffle on the decision for years until vendors can max extract

Children can’t be right? And when have I claimed it wasn’t work? When have I said anything about throwing money in the air? I’m saying that it’s very possible, and here is a potential blueprint. I’m struggling to understand why you’re so defensive over a billionaire who never has and never will know you and I exist.

@goodtakesLLC And I think you have a *childs* view of this. Bezos is a good counterpoint -- what do you think she does? Like, what she's doing is WORK, you have to vet, etc. You can't just throw money in the air. Jay is doing a different thing, which doesn't leave time to do the Bezos thing

I’m essentially saying that they could both liquidate their assets and holdings, and distribute billions of dollars directly to people around the world, and still have like hundreds of millions left and live amazing lives. How do their respective paths to billions matter for that?

@goodtakesLLC What, precisely, do you believe "Jay-Z becoming not a billionaire" entails? Do you think there's some Scrooge McDuck vault of money that he can just throw into the streets -- or even "public works" projects? That is not how it works.

@_Zeets Honestly dude, this is obnoxious and condescending and not very well thought out. Jay-Z's situation is far too unique to lump him in with the other billionaires. Smarter to pay attention to the *very limited* things he can do and is trying to do with what he has

Mamdani and Hochul want to steal your inheritance by taxing the hell out of it. That’s not just taxing the rich, it’s taxing everyday New Yorkers by stealing their life’s work. New York families can’t afford policies like this. I’ve fought to cut taxes and protect what families earn. When I am Governor, I will cut taxes again and make New York affordable while stopping the Mamdani-Hochul inheritance tax.

Is “good reaction saves” not most of the job? It’s a good point though, about play styles. He looked great under Ange when a lot of his work involved being quite exposed. I had great confidence in him in 1v1 and clear shooting chances. This season, injury aside, I’ve felt he’s looked more timid without clear passing options and sitting back behind a defense. Even if he has improved, box command has never been a strength. It’s a tough cycle of unsuredness stripping confidence. All that to say, let’s see who the next manager is, and I also think there are much more pressing squad needs than GK at this moment.

@NathanAClark You can look at all the stats you like but do you feel confident with him in goal? I don't. He makes some good reaction saves but that's it, every other facet of his game is poor

Genuinely seems Trumps presidency is completely falling apart. Basic government services aren’t getting executed. He’s stuck in a quagmire in the Middle East. Job growth is negative and inflation is accelerating. Gas is 4-5 dollars a gallon. What a mess

TSA is quoting 3 hours for both pre check and general, they have turned off the signs that show wait time because they can’t track the lines when they’re into baggage claim. Clear is closed. This is ATL at 5am
