Madam, let’s do the math you conveniently skipped. - Modi govt collected ₹38.89 lakh crore in fuel taxes from 2014–2024. - Excise on petrol went from ₹9.48/L in 2014 → ₹32.98/L in 2021; a 348% hike. - When crude crashed to $20/barrel in 2020, instead of passing benefits to citizens, BJP pocketed the windfall by hiking excise duty. Now crude is high, OMCs are bleeding, petrol has been hiked 4 times in May alone, and you want a medal for cutting ₹10/L back; after charging excess for a decade? The ₹1 lakh crore “sacrifice” you’re bragging about is less than 3% of what this government extracted from common people’s pockets over 10 years. And the punchline? Retail prices are NOT even coming down. The duty cut went to bail out OMC losses; NOT to reduce prices at the pump. Petrol in Delhi crossed ₹100/L today. You didn’t give anything to the aam aadmi. You just stopped overcharging them slightly. That’s not policy. That’s arithmetic.

All maths correct but what do you mean BJP pocketed the windfall? What is the proof? All this money was used infrastructre development, subsidies, and other populist policies of the Modi government for the lower middle class and poor people... Else where do you think the money is coming from for building these highway connectivities, paying people through various government schemes etc etc.. Finally Petrol prices have been increased by govt because oil companies were loosing 1000 crore a day as crude is above 100$ But when crude was at 60-70$ for 2-3 years That too with Russian discounted oil That too with 20% ethanol Not 1₹ was decreased then, enjoy Amritkaal!

The hole that is there for putting cold drink on seat. They put too many tissue and make it clean and then fill all popcorn there. Then refill again, then again and again. Second is girls use their dupatta to put all popcorn in it and get refilled again Third is girls using their purse to fill popcorn

Ikea has cold beverages with free refill for Rs 90. But some cheapass here is filling his steel water bottle with the beverage without paying. This is why we can't have good things in India.

@mainbhiengineer No it can't. Because even after all the taxation u mentioned, Govt have to borrow from market to balance budget which also include investment on infra construction. For operation and maintenance of existing infra, only tolls are the solution.

Never understood the concept of never ending toll tax on Highway. When people already pay income tax, GST on car, Road tax and registration and different types of cess then why there is additional toll tax. Govt can't provide us even road after taking so many and so much tax?
