TMC MLA Dilip Mondal had threatened BJP workers after winning the election from the Bishnupur seat. He had said, “Go and ask Suvendu who Dilip Mondal is. Go and ask Arjun Singh who Dilip Mondal is.” Police later registered an FIR and raided his house. He allegedly escaped through the back door and jumped over a drain while fleeing. For the last four days, he has been absconding. Police have arrested his son and four others for possessing illegal arms and disturbing communal harmony.
