This seemed to be the intent in last night’s brief presser but @WSJ confirmed this AM: “Vance flew back to the U.S. early Sunday after talks in Islamabad, Pakistan.” Also from the Journal: “Iran said it had no plans for more nuclear talks with the U.S. after negotiations brokered by Pakistan broke down, but a foreign ministry spokesman said diplomacy would continue.” Also from @LearyReports for @WSJ; “President Trump didn’t comment directly on the failure of talks with Iran in the immediate hours after Vice President JD Vance left Pakistan, but Trump posted to his social-media platform an article that said he could use a naval blockade if negotiations break down. ‘If Iran refuses to accept the final deal the United States offered Saturday, Trump could bomb Tehran back to the ‘Stone Ages’ as he vowed,’ says the article by journalist John Solomon, which Trump posted shortly after midnight Eastern time. ‘Or he might just reprise his successful blockade strategy to choke an already teetering Iranian economy and ratchet up diplomatic pressure on China and India by cutting them off [from] one of their key sources of oil.’” The battle for the Strait is imminent and seizure of Iran’s shadow fleet likely. سه‌ گزینه گفتید که هیچکدومش راهکار نیست. مبارزه مسلحانه، میدان میلیونی، مبارزه مدنی، متاسفانه جوابگو نیست. هرکدوم به یک دلیل متفاوت که توضیحش مفصله. خیر؛ مشروطه‌خواها در قسمت سختش دور نمیزنن. اتفاقا راهکار مشروطه متمرکز بر قسمت سخت ماجراس. دلیل کلمه «بازگشت» در بازگشت به مشروطه اینه که زیربنا هست و صرفا باید احیا بشه. و باور کنید یا نه تا حد زیادی شده و یک دلیل حملات به مشروطه و حتی همین جنگ، به همین خاطر بود و تحت حمایت همون قدرتهای داخلی و خارجی ۵۷. طبعا جزئیات چنین پروژه عظیمی فقط در توان تئوریسین‌هاس و اون هم نه به طور اعلان عمومی. به دلایل واضح. اما نهادهای ایران، یعنی پیکربندی دولت ایران، به طور خودبخودی یا بعضا تحت فشار، متمایل به مشروطه‌ست. طبعا ساده نیست تبدیل این «بالقوه» به «بالفعل». ولی نزدیک‌ترین و ممکن‌ترین و کم‌هزینه‌ترین راه‌حله.

گِره مذاکرات اینجاس که یک طرف میز (ج.ا) مستأصلِ با توهمِ پیروزی، و طرف دیگه با وجود دستِ بالا، مستأصلِ در بن‌بستِ استراتژیک هستش. خروجیِ مذاکره‌ی دو مستأصل، یا یک توافق بد یا دیوارکشی دور ایرانه. در هر دو‌ مورد، ملت ایران بازنده‌ست. تنها راهکار، ورود یک عامل سوم از موضع اقتدار ملی می‌تونه باشه که با یه راهکار ملیِ مدوّن (نه یک دفترچه لیست آرزوها)، ایران رو از این وضع خارج کنه. تنها گزینه‌ی ممکن و در دسترس، چه خوشمون بیاد چه نه، #بازگشت_به_مشروطه ست که هم پاسخگوی بن‌بست سیاسی در ایرانه، هم مدل شناخته شده برای خارجی‌ها.

A 28-year-old man has died in custody after being subjected to torture following his arrest by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz, rights groups reported on Saturday. Hossein Ghavi was arrested at his workplace, a tea stall, in March on accusations including filming bombed areas and contact with foreign media, US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) and rights group Karun reported on Saturday. Ghavi was tortured during detention and later died in custody, according to the reports.
