@ArturRehi or you could take the other side of the bet if you believed the odds weren’t representative of the true value of the bet. ie. how markets work.

1/12 The Polymarket Manipulation Scam: If Trump were to win, it could mark the end of US elections as we know them. He deceives and lies about everything, and he has now been caught manipulating betting markets! A true serial cheater! Take by @joni_askola

@INArteCarloDoss comparing the eurozone’s inflation problem to Venezuela is the most fintwit thing I’ve read all day

ECB needs to jack-up rates immediately. Else they will turn EZ into Venezuela. If you are a EZ follower, make sure you reach-out to your MP and express your concern. Lagarde has to go. Someone with a good understanding of monetary policy needs to step in. Fiscal will not suffice

@gpc_djv It has lots of moving parts to gebetoincome for the protocol from the keeper side and the fixed forex side. Also forex is a multi trillion dollar market in tree real world. Could be great with adoption

I did a bit of reading on kp3r's fixed forex and this is what I can conclude. It uses a fusion of about 3 protocols go try to replicate forex markets in defi You can mint different stable coins against a range of assets eg eth Dai link etc like using iron bank resembles maker dao

@Manu_CB @MarketInterest Well a) its a chunky flow into eur and cny - clearing the way for others b) it means their fx interventions that they do basically daily will have to be recycled

@MarketInterest why? The rationale for the Russia move is strategic (fears of being cut off the USD financial/payments system).

i really don't know what's with the Russia USD divesting story because: (i) it's been going on for nearly a decade (ii) it's either irrelevant for the market or they have already re positioned (I give them that much credit, of course)

Many projects have listed on Uniswap - rallied & got smashed to pieces. I shall try to curate a selection of newly listed projects between 5mm - 20mm mcap with long term upside potential. Risking small amounts in each. But since I'm here - what's on your radar?

There comes a point when conviction of an observation matters, and decisive action needs to be taken. Of the 4 assets $mist $xtk $visr $mthd... Which 2 am I no longer holding a position in? Any why?

When I started at the Chicago Board of Trade in the 1970s, us newbie Boomers held the seasoned Silent and Greatest Generation traders in the high respect they deserved. Many Gen X, Y, and Zs strut around like alpha cocks and hens who invented trading. It's quite numerous.

@SureCapital @Fongern_FX Totally agree that US recovery will surprise estimates to the upside, but I disagree that market participants are underestimating this. Look at the absolute moves in US indexes vs ROW. The ROW>US argument is more a catch up trade than an outperformance one imo

@gpc_djv @Fongern_FX The consensus is positioned for a global recovery led by ROW. (ROW Growth > US Growth) If you look at the relative fiscal impulses, the US is the highest in absolute terms & among the highest in % of GDP terms. It's a no brainer the US recovery might surprise to the upside.

Two things are being underestimated by market participants; 1) The US economy's ability to recover at a faster pace than the rest of the world (fiscal stimulus key). 2) A resulting less dovish Fed.

@sescourrou @MagnusMacro The second they limit travel based on the vax, the EU/ROW will get vaccinated. The US will have some stubbornness but I don’t see this as a meaningful headwind.

@MagnusMacro A variable not much debated imo is the conflict with people that won't take the vax. And I can see this easily fueled with a handful of people experiencing secondary effects.
