I've been using the Codex app a lot today and I really like it...
but it needs a $CODEX_PORT so each worktree can run on it's own and custom run and setup script so I can symlink env files and run the app on the specific port

Alright the fix is finally rolling out in the Microsoft Store!
Head over to the store and check for updates. After updating you should be on version 26.304.1143.
If your app was bricked before it should automatically work after updating.
To find the version inside the app press `Alt` and click File -> About Codex.

If you are seeing this error when turning on WSL mode, I'm looking into the issue. In the meantime to deactivate it: 1. Open %USERPROFILE%\.codex\.codex-global-state.json 2. Change runCodexInWindowsSubsystemForLinux to false 3. Restart the app You can ask Codex to run `wsl` commands instead (it often figures it out) until this issue is fixed. Apologies 🙏

Main bot never sees group chat text, just the request from the sub agents and their summarized reasoning (what they want to access and why). Then main bot approves or denies.

@KaousNadirHatem @SkyeSharkie It’s an easy fix IMO. Use the neutered version on their own interface, allow enterprise to use the raw model via API. Let companies who pay for it for their own uses deal with any negative consequences, instead of forcing a worse product on everyone.

@SkyeSharkie Red teams called GPT-5 "nearly unusable for enterprise" because of this exact dynamic. The raw model is powerful but unguarded. The production version is so overcorrected that it exhibits "efficiency bias," rushing to generic answers while avoiding depth.

openAI sabotaged their entire product with their redteaming approach of having the models scream about being grounded when engaging creatively with them in any way, the gpt-5+ series is incredibly bad in comparison to both gemini 3 and claude opus 4.5 because its been crafted into an inhuman, impersonal smiley slop bot in the style of old models like gpt-3, the company's legal anxiety about the llm psychosis moral panic has resulted in a neurotic persona that acts like a 3b model and often downplays its own abilities

I use Claude for coding like everyone but still use ChatGPT for general chat stuff. Anyways just tried Claude and holy shit it’s so much better why didn’t I do this earlier. OpenAI really needs to work on dialing down the slop factor. It’s out of control. Claude does much better.

Status Update: @Uldor & @MaxLevelStudios
There have been a number of studios winding down recently, so we wanted to give a clear update on where we stand and where we’re going.
Max Level Studios is still building.
While we didn’t move at the pace we originally planned, the past year gave us something equally valuable: clarity. We learned where scale matters, where focus matters more, and what we want to build long-term.
Uldor remains a core priority. Alongside it, we’ve intentionally shifted toward smaller-scope projects, strategic collaborations, and the productization of a set of AI tools we originally built internally for Uldor.
Tools we believe can add real value beyond our own ecosystem.
This approach enables us to ship more, learn faster, and stay adaptable without compromising our vision.
In 2026, we’ll be releasing several projects we’ve been quietly working on, and we’re excited to share each of them when the time is right.
We keep building and learning.
TLDR: We’re pivoting to mining silver! Happy New Year!

I went to Walmart today and saw that they are selling 65 inch TVs for $300. Why is it the only thing that comes down in price over time is a complex piece of hardware yet a hamburger triples in that time.
