It is time for more media attention on the Arizona Adult Protective Services card left on the door at Nancy Guthrie’s home. There are serious inconsistencies in the Sheriff’s explanation yesterday. According to the Sheriff, law enforcement responded to the residence and began a missing persons investigation. Then a neighbor allegedly contacted APS, even though deputies were already on scene. An APS investigator then reportedly responded that same day, on a Sunday, and walked through what law enforcement has said was quickly determined to be a crime scene. We are talking about a scene that reportedly contained visible blood evidence and possible DNA on the door itself. The claim is that a civilian APS investigator walked through the bloody crime scene and touched the door and window area to place a business card in the frame, and then exited the same way. If that account is accurate, it raises serious questions about crime scene control and about the authority a non sworn civilian investigator would have to enter an active crime scene. If it is not accurate, then the public deserves clarification, because it could be significant about things that were happening in Nancy's life. Either the Sheriff’s timeline is incorrect and the card was already there prior to February 1, or there are substantial training and protocol issues involving investigators at the Arizona Department of Economic Security. @ArizonaDES I intend to discuss this during future interviews about this case. I simply do not believe the story that was given to reporters yesterday and Im surprised they didn't challenge it. #NancyGuthrie
