@eliana_jordan I’m the same with this. I’d love to talk more about what I’m doing but I just don’t know if the positives outweigh benefits after seeing people get review bombed etc.

Building in public is teaching me a lot I’m not going to share my scuba app everywhere anymore Not because I’m stopping… but because I need to be way more intentional about who I’m building for Yesterday: – New user signs up – Verifies email – Contacts support Message? “Hey, hi” That’s it. Not a diver. Not even close to my target user. At some point you realize: making things “easy for users” without filters just invites the wrong ones

@adamlyttleapps I sometimes emerge to see what the normies they are upto and then crawl back into the relaxing blue light soaked darkness of 3 cursor tabs and 3 Claude cowork tabs.

@mrpaidsocial I feel seen. Quit my corporate job two months ago before baby was due, consulting and building apps. Now I get to not have any leave and work 16 hour days. Freedom! 😂

Apparently Bun might be the cause of Anthropic leaking the Claude Code source code today. A 3-week old bug where source maps are hosted when they shouldn't be. It's wild there were no tests to catch such an issue #issuecomment-4163277829" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/oven-sh/bun/is…

I'm based in France, but 43% of my audience is American. I know many of us are in the same situation. To reach a wider audience, all my posts are in English, the international language. Those who cause trouble may be punished, but with this change, which will significantly reduce our earnings, you're also penalizing a number of accounts that use the international language without any ill intent. X tells us that videos and new, high-quality content will be prioritized, but this change will, on the contrary, drastically reduce our earnings. Is there any way to reverse this decision, please?🥺 @XCreators @X @nikitabier @elonmusk

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

The gap between "works in a demo" and "works at scale" is about 4,000 commits.

@AmiriKing @goddek @nikitabier But if he only posted about living in the jungle, and we all loved hearing about it, he won’t get incentivised for it unless we all move to his jungle and then we won’t care about his jungle content?

@goddek @nikitabier I hope this doesn’t come of as disingenuous because I really do like you Simon, but some of my favorite content from you is when you talk about living in the jungle. It’s genuinely interesting. You are intereting. And personally, I’d tune in to a daily vlog of it.

This part of the experience is my biggest blocker. Changes to any initial use the screens/flows don’t seem to make sense using EAS updates. I use OTA as much as possible and I have a toast banner that appears to get used to update but I think it’s a confusing UX. Would love to know how other people are solving this better?

@Baconbrix From what I understand, when users first download your app, they’ll get an outdated version (the one approved by the app store). The EAS update gets downloaded in the background and users only get that after force closing and reopening the app. Are there any plans for this?

Larry's openclaw skill gets a UI! The Larry UI is now available for download on Larrybrain. Anyone using the larry openclaw skill go to larrybrain and get the UI. If you're already a larrybrain user simply ask your agent "Get the larry marketing UI from larrybrain" Then you can visually track your upcoming posts, TikTok analytics and more. If you don't have openclaw, use larryloop. Larrybrain for openclaw Larryloop for everyone else.

Why is there so much “apple are banning vibe coded apps” slop in my feed tonight? It’s clearly not true. Take a few minutes to research instead of slop posting.

I’ll fall for the engagement bait, but over the last 12 months while I’ve been building my apps. People definitely think that building apps is much easier than what actually is. Can you build this in a weekend? Absolutely not. Can you build a front end? That looks like this? Probably not. I had someone reach out to me with their app, asking how do they get it on the App Store, I asked some pretty basic questions about infrastructure/backend. And their response? “ I don’t know what any of that means.” The AI tools can quickly build something that looks like an app and tests like an app, but any real production use and it will fall apart immediately. I knew my App would have a big flow of users on day one so I spent a lot of time trying to get this right, and mine still broke.

Workout app printing $1M/month What it does: → simple beginner workouts → super easy UX You can build this in a weekend.

@nikitabier I’m finding that review of an already approved app is actually really fast. Same day or next day usually. My new App experience was longer than that, but that was with issues that I needed to resolve

iOS developers: How long is App Review taking for everyone these days? It is now taking longer to get our app approved than it is to build the actual features.
