Advocating for single-sex spaces based on biological sex - as in UKSC judgement — is a legitimate position grounded in women’s rights to privacy, dignity, safety & fairness. Feminism is clarifying Women’s needs & rights in law, NI & Ireland.

All our members, but especially our nationalist and republican members, have been told they are not allowed to be represented at @FeileBelfast Féile should act within its charitable objects and remember that inclusion means everyone. @EmmaCDeSouza I imagine you agree Human rights apply to Women & Girls. Women have fought long and hard to carve out Single Sex spaces for privacy, dignity, safety, fairness & sisterhood. If you are prepared to diminish our rights for an ideology of “humans can change sex”, that is on you.

The first phase of their plan as she says is not within the political realm, but the realm of knowledge and thought. Their alliance is not advocating for a world without the West, rather, there is an open invitation for the West to accept its own “decolonization”. The current centers of knowledge located in Paris, London, Amsterdam. And New York; need to be replaced by new centers in Istanbul, Jakarta, Addis Abbaba, Rabat, Cairo, and Gaza.

History has a long memory. As someone of Greek origin and the Honorary Consul of Cyprus, I find it difficult to take lectures on “decolonizing the West” from representatives of a country whose troops continue to occupy part of Cyprus, that converted Hagia Sophia in Constantinople into a mosque, and that now speaks of “decolonization.” My ancestral village, Kalavryta, helped decolonize the Ottoman Empire in March 1821, when Greeks rose up against their imperial rulers in the Greek War of Independence. Practice before preaching.
