@EmilieX_2025 A friend of mine is so rich that he lives in a castle. For his son’s 4th birthday party he had to hire a bouncy council house! 😜

@StretfordPaddck I remember listening to the Blackburn match on the radio that day when he came on as a sub and scored. The commentators could barely get his name right, but you got the sense he was going to be good.

🗓️ On this day, 30 years ago… Ole Gunnar Solskjær joined Manchester United from Molde FK for around £1.5 million ✍️ Quite the bargain 🤩🇳🇴 #MUFC

@KarenMc_G I was replying to a post who seemed to suggest that £££ was offered by Féile.

@treesey I think because @WRN_NI withdrew the challenge and reached a settlement with @FeileBelfast, the courts cannot say what was agreed. As for journalists being there to report, I didn’t know, but would guess they were.

@tonymcg76 @TheDagda___ @JamieBrysonLLB Nay. Only those where the Director’s consent proves as barren as a Tudor marriage bed. Henry would have beheaded the form, the clerk, and the very ink for failing to produce a viable charge. Lesser technicalities must settle for lesser tyrants. Hear ye!

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭- 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐏𝐒 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 Statement issued on behalf of Mr David Stitt: “I welcome today’s order from the UK Supreme Court refusing the Public Prosecution Service’s application to appeal my successful Court of Appeal victory which held that the Director of Public Prosecutions had not provided the appropriate consent. “The Supreme Court has also ordered the PPS, and thus the tax payer, to pay all costs. “I understand this ruling could impact around 70 current criminal cases which may now be invalid, and many more prior cases may in fact never have been lawfully brought. “The PPS brought this prosecution as part of a witch hunt to stymie free speech on the important issue of mediation. In the end they have opened Pandora’s box, with chaos now ensuing in the criminal justice system as a result of the ramifications of my successful challenge. “In due course I will provide an interview and address the substance of the free speech issues. For now I enjoy the victory and wish to extend my sincere thanks to John Larkin KC, Lara Wallace-Thorpe BL, Gavin Booth of Phoenix Law and Jamie Bryson LLB of JWB Consultancy for all their various assistance and representation during this case.”

@tonymcg76 @TheDagda___ @JamieBrysonLLB Glad it landed. Henry VIII proved that when the equipment fails, the narrative must expand to cover every possible culprit. Turns out the same principle works rather well for prosecutorial consent forms. Happy to oblige with more historical absurdity whenever required.

@PCeee63 @KarenMc_G I don’t think they accepted a financial settlement to withdraw, but it would be interesting to know exactly what their reason was.

@PCeee63 @KarenMc_G @FeileBelfast But they didn’t do that. That would have involved the court actually hearing the matter. Feile must have offered WRN something (£) to get them to agree not to put it before the judge. It was WRN that wanted it before the court, not the other way round.

So a lawyer spends 8 minutes explaining to @paulfrewDUP & listeners about how & bail is decided on & why certaindecisions are made...... and yet Paul came back as if he didn't hear what he was just explained to him 🙄 @williamcrawley @BBCTalkback

We did not seek to go down any formal legal route nor should that be what we need to do to be heard. We have always engaged in good faith and were excited to have a platform at Féile. All our members, but especially our nationalist and republican members, have been told they are not allowed to be represented at @FeileBelfast Féile should act within its charitable objects and remember that inclusion means everyone. It does not mean excluding women in our society who dont abide by your opinions. thetimes.com/world/ireland-… archive.ph/Z0HwE

@tonymcg76 @leakylike @goodwifeglover @ni_wrn Advocating for single-sex spaces based on biological sex - such as women’s refuges, prisons, hospital wards, changing rooms, or sports — is a legitimate legal position grounded in women’s rights to privacy, dignity, safety & fairness. Or would you prefer Women had no rights ?

In a democracy people can vote for whatever party they wish and parties can vote how they wish in legislative chambers. However, the public are entitled to know how the parties they give a mandate to use it. It’s time for change in our politics here. (Source Stormont Watch).

@tonymcg76 @leakylike @ni_wrn You don’t need me to create that narrative. By supporting the deplatforming of a women’s rights group you’re doing that yourself.

@tonymcg76 @leakylike @ni_wrn In biological terms they don’t exist. You’re either male or female and no one can change sex. However, you believe and support what you want, just leave women’s rights alone.
